Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Cloudy blond colour, pale. Fresh aroma, delicate stone fruit, hint of tropical fruit. Dry and weak mouthfeel; light malt base, not much to say here; the hops are ok, but require more sugar to become juicy. Good.

Yellow colour, cloudy but not murky, with compact head. The aroma is very nice, it's fruity, with accents of tropical fruit and white grapes. It's fairly dry, with a touch of wheat and bread, maybe some starch, but it's forgiven; the hop is mildly fruity, but overall it's dull, really not bright; vegetable note in the finish.
Nothing special.

Hazy tan sort of colour. Thin head. The aroma is peachy, a bit orangey, and fairly estery. On the palate, also estery, bright orange, dried apricot, a happy pale malt backbone. Not much bitterness, but I think it's enough. I like this, it's expressive.

On tap at Dageraad, pours a cloudy peachy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is rather chalky, with a blunted earthy hop character and some doughy Belgian yeast. Flavour is thankfully better, bringing out the Belgian yeast — somewhat doughy, somewhat spicy, a touch of stone fruit — along with an earthy, bready malt base. I'd prefer a bit more clarity here — don't hazify a Belgian pale. Still, not bad.

Golden brown. Thick head. Toasty, light caramel, a bit juicy. Not my favourite malt character in a mild but it's not bad. Touch of butter in the finish, though.

On tap at Main Street, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out a nice dank hop character, with some oats, citrus and white wine tang. Flavour is surprisingly nice, with lots of dank hops, some white wine tang a la Nelson, and a crisp biscuity malt. No chalk or hopburn. Damn, the hop character here is impressive. Very good (wtf?).

On cask at Main Street, pours a clear dark amber with a medium beige head. Nose is mild, with light toasted nuts and crusty bready malt. Flavour is clean and mild, with gentle toasted nuts, crusty bread and a tiny hint of bitterness. Not much to this but there's not supposed to be. Clean and drinkable. Fine.

On tap at Steamworks- Mt Pleasant, pours a cloudy bright golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is muddled, with herbal notes, some hopburn, and muddled stone fruit pithiness. Flavour is also very muddled, with stone fruit pith, hopburn, and herbal notes. Crap hop expression, bad structure, and just overall not a pleasant concoction.

Dark brown, light tan head. Light malt nose. Palate of malt and light red fruits with a toasty character
