Bottled. An unclear red beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of malt, hops, and citrus fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, over ripe fruits, and straw, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Dark brown, almost black colour, dissipating off-white head. Aroma of smoke, ash, rain water, caramel, band-aid, chlorine, chocolate, Madeira wine and peat. Sweet malty flavour, caramel, chocolate and coffee, quickly followed by smoke, peat and ash. Lingering peaty finish, sweet milk chocolate and coffee.
Quite nice.

Bottle shared with Dutchdrebus. Hazy dark orange to reddish color, huge dense off-white head that lasts for a long time. Smell malts, hops, a slight sourness. Oh oh, that’s not very promising... Taste malts, hops, again a slight sourness, a bit of alcohol even though it’s only 7.5% ABV...Some fruits, slightly get some citrus, but overall it’s less than expected. Especially from this brewery, though I must admit I had very high expectations.

1/VI/13 - 33cl bottle @ post-FortaRock tasting - BB: n/a - bottled: II/2012 - bottle # 222/480 (2013-524) Thanks to Tinus for sharing the bottle!
Little cloudy dark brown beer, aery beige head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: chloride, peat, bit smoky, bit metallic, phenol something stuff, dusty. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: caramel, bitter, peated stuff, whisky malt, citrus. Aftertaste: very peated, smoky, caramel, sugary, brown sugar, dried fruits, molasses, bitter hops, very hoppy even, smoky. Meh, not bad. Not worth € 4.5 though.

Tap @ Nijmegen. Dark color, short brown head. Aroma of coffee, chocolat, roasted malt. Decent balance in sweet and bitter. Bottled version was a bit thin, but the creaminess from tap make up for that. Still has a dark belgian feel to it with a good touch of roast. Nice beer.

33 cl bottle @ home. Color is red rather than pale. Thick, dense off white head with long retention. Aroma’s of flowery hops, citrus, pine/resin, herbal, but also some sweet malt & fruit. Retronasal it’s a bit harsher, high alpha acid, sour almost, but also malt & fruit. Flavor is bitter, acidic, slightly roasted and only lightly malty sweet. Medium bodied. Alcohol warms the throat. Finishes bitter, with a sourness. On the harsh side and I’m not sure the sourness is completely caused by the hops...
