Tap @ Arendsnest, medium sample. Slight hazy amber color, short head. Aroma is light smoked, fruity hops, grapefruit and citrus. Medium bitter in taste. The smoke is nicely balanced with the fruity hops and bitterness. Good brew.

On tap at Arendsnest. Hazy amber-orange colour, soapy white head. Aroma of beechwood smoked malts, oranges, citrus, sweet malts. Flavour is fruity, citrus, grapefruit, light malty, dry, smoke, firm bitter and dry finish. Light-bodied. Nice.

Bottle thanks to Douberd and the European Local Swap II. Black colour with a beige head with good lasting and nice lacing. Aroma is roasty and with a light coffee character. Flavor is malty, roasty, bittery form the beginnign to the end with coffee bean notes. The final is bittery and moderate coffee.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a deep mahogany with a frothy off-white head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is yeasty with some red berry fruit and roasted malt. The flavour is strong bitter with a malt, yeast, liqourice, alcohol palate. Not the best RIS i’ve had but a whole lot better than their BA version.

(Bottle, In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 27 July 2013) Amber colour with huge, frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, orange, grapefruit, treacle toffee, caramel and fresh citric hops. Malty, fruity taste with orange peel, grapefruit, caramel, toffee and a fresh citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Fresh, tasty and quite drinkable. Very nice.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a cloudy orange amber with a thin white long-lasting head. The aroma is hugely fresh, grassy and hoppy leading to a medium bitter flavour with lots of grass, nettles and some liqourice on the rather smooth fruity palate. A super IPA. One of the very best i’ve tasted from the Netherlands.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Dark amber-brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of toast, caramel, grass, pine, light citrus. Flavour is has lots of fruity acidity, red berries, toast, pine, grass, caramel, pine bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied. Weird acidity, distracting from the drinking pleasure imo.

33 cl bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a small off white head. Aroma is fruity. Botter, grassy. Smooth fruity. Bitter and herbal. Citrusy into the finish.

Tap @ Burg Bieren (assuming it was this version actually), medium sample. Hazy orange to amber color, medium rocky head. Aroma is lovely hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, hint of tropical fruit. Great bitterness, decent malty body to back it up. Great IPA.
