Keg at Man in The Moon, Stockholm. Very dark brown, small head. Coffee and brown sugar up front. Sweet with full body and clean mouthfeel. Brown sugar and molasses, some salmiak. Sweet American style interpretation of the style, with less depth, more sweetness and decidedly more brown sugar than in the best examples of the style.

Keg at Man in The Moon, Stockholm. Clear mahogany colour, small head. Peaty, somewhat medicinal nose. Mid sweet with full body and clean, dense mouthfeel. Peat, sugar and medicin, some licorice. Mostly peat. The malt hardness make finer tones inaccessible. Low bitterness.

Draught at Village Bottle, Honolulu. Orange. Full of sweet hop and citrus with a malt profile. Full bodied. Real strong hop resin profile. Good but a full pint is tough.

Good but seemingly very muted hop profile. Citrus and some light pine. Medium malt sweetness. Very light bitterness in the finish. It’s tasty and all but a very light IPA.

Bomber. Orange-gld, almost clear, with lace. Spicy nose, honey, oranges, nice Belgian yeast. Sweet malty flavor, spicy and peppery. Fully, silky body. Honey comes through. Very interesting spicy, peppery finish that appears to be only from the yeast.

Bottle. Grass, grapefruit, some biscuits and spices in the nose. Slightly sweet with a touch of caramel, some pine. Rounded and balanced with medium bitterness. Good but not outstanding.

Big and black with a light tan head. Roasted malts, espresso, chocolate, some sweet malt, and a bit of earth throughout. Finishes with a bit of a bite, encouraging another sip. A really well done porter.
