7/IX/24 - sampled @ BBP Wanderlust Beer Festival (Brussels), BB: n/a (2024-868) Thanks to my GBV buddies for sharing today’s beers!

Clear pale light yellow beer, creamy solid white head, a little adhesive. Aroma: grains, candy, cardboard, hay, cow fodder, meh. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: tastes like a cheap lager from some African or Caribbean country, sweet, a bit lemony, grains, oxidized, cardboard, soapy bitterness, bleh. Don’t like it.

On tap at Apollon Tønsberg. A big white head forms over a clear golden colored body. Curtains. The aroma has quite a lot of pale malts, along with grass, flowers and generic fruityness. It's soft on the palate, medium bodied and nicely carbonated, semi dry, with a gentle bitterness. The flavor is more hop forward, fruity and flowery with grass and a light piney hint. Nice maltyness in the back though. Tasteful, quenching and easy drinkable. Works well even after a heavy Imperial Stout. 240619

On tap at Apollon Tønsberg. It's a pale orange colored beer, unclear, with a small, dense white head leaving lacing. The aroma is hop driven, with some grapefruit and pine cones. Gentle. Hints of alcohol and pale malts too. The same goes for the flavor, where a gentle but present bitterness show up. Medium to full body, semi dry, with a very soft carbonation. Medium length hop driven finish. A thirst quencher, else a bit dull. 240619

On tap at Apollon Tønsberg. Looks like orange juice in the glass, except for a finger thick white head. Gentle citrusy, piney aroma, grapefruit and a touch of pale malts. It's smooth on the palate, very softly carbonated and semi dry. Hints of bitterness. The flavor is pretty much the same, a bit dull actually, lacking on bitterness as it is. Medium length finish. Nice and refreshing, but a bit too gentle. Especially on the hops. 240619
