Description
Since opening our doors in October 2012, we have been working to bring new and exciting flavourful beers to our community. We like to experiment, be adventurous, and break old traditional brewing rules. As a result, we have made it our mission create a diverse product roster that includes deliciously easy drinking beers that everyone can appreciate as well as hard-to-find ales that leave a lasting impression. We’ve spent years developing a variety of audacious brews that are hoppier, fruitier, aged longer (and in weirder barrels), etc. Let’s put it this way, if we can go overboard on some element of beermaking, we generally will.

We take our passion beyond beer as well in a quest to ‘Live Indie’. From a spectacular and carefully curated house-made menu to lively events, we’ve turned our creative and individualistic brewing methods into a lifestyle that reflects our mantra of fun-loving independence.

We started off as a small, yet foolhardy bunch in a quaint and – we’ll admit – elementary brewpub located in Toronto’s West End. After several years of refining processes and working with a wonderfully dedicated team of beer lovers, we have been fortunate enough to grow our Junction-located brewpub and bottle shop into a bustling (albeit ambient and welcoming) space. We’ve also opened up a second brewing space, tasting room and bottle shop in partnership with Eataly at the heart of downtown Toronto. We’re grateful for how far we’ve come and we have no other goals but to keep on making bold beer and continue to serve excellence.

The bottom line is - we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to taste, enjoy, and have the choice of better food and better beer. It’s who we are. It’s why we’re here.

Okay beer. Kinda cloudy and tastes a bit muddled like that. Just a round body, low crispness brown ale. C’est what toronto

Foeder Czech pils. Dull and hazy but with a big frothy head. Earthy and sweet, touch of dryness in the finish. Pretty good!

Can from the LCBO. Lightly hazed pale gold with a small frothy white head that fades quickly to a sheet and produces some tight lace. Nose is citrus zest, stone fruit, pepper, wheat, tropical fruit, grass and some salt. Flavour has a light fruit and malt sweetness with a medium+ grass, orange peel, and pineapple bitterness with some salt and pepper in the finish. Mouth is medium with average carbonation. 7+/4-/8/4/15

Even keeled ipa. Sweet malt base, solid resinous hops with a bit of a burn, and some spicy heat. Resin lingers. I little aggressive but good.

Cloudy blonde pour, sheet of lingering white head. Taste is quite full. Really juicy, almost as if there is some salt in the mix, tropical fruits, a little resin. The malt is an afterthought here. Lingers with that tropical fruit. Good. Mrs says: I'd be ok drinking it.

Light malt, sharp carbonation. Full concord grape flavour, quite rich. Tapers quickly to fairly clean finish with a touchnof bitterness and some grape holding on. Thin, but pretty tasty. Me 3.5 Mrs not a huge fan.

Pine, quinine, grapefruit peel, and wheat malt aroma. Hazy golden yellow with giant white head. Moderately sweet orange, lime, wheat malt, and moderately bitter pine and grapefruit peel flavor. Good body. Tasty and a great name.

On tap at Kingston Brewing. Pours black with thin beige head. Aroma has toasted malt cacao, and whiskey. Flavour has toasted malt, caramel, cacao, woody dryness, and a lot of whiskey. Nice start but brutal finish. Needs some time after bottling to mellow out.

Pint at beerbistro Toronto pours a lightly hazy gold with plenty of lacey white head. Nose has plenty of soap and grass, some citrus and a little crackery malt. Flavor is a little bit of orange soda, muddled citrus, simple malt, plenty of soap and herbs. Bitter finish but a bit over fruited.
