Description
Since opening our doors in October 2012, we have been working to bring new and exciting flavourful beers to our community. We like to experiment, be adventurous, and break old traditional brewing rules. As a result, we have made it our mission create a diverse product roster that includes deliciously easy drinking beers that everyone can appreciate as well as hard-to-find ales that leave a lasting impression. We’ve spent years developing a variety of audacious brews that are hoppier, fruitier, aged longer (and in weirder barrels), etc. Let’s put it this way, if we can go overboard on some element of beermaking, we generally will.

We take our passion beyond beer as well in a quest to ‘Live Indie’. From a spectacular and carefully curated house-made menu to lively events, we’ve turned our creative and individualistic brewing methods into a lifestyle that reflects our mantra of fun-loving independence.

We started off as a small, yet foolhardy bunch in a quaint and – we’ll admit – elementary brewpub located in Toronto’s West End. After several years of refining processes and working with a wonderfully dedicated team of beer lovers, we have been fortunate enough to grow our Junction-located brewpub and bottle shop into a bustling (albeit ambient and welcoming) space. We’ve also opened up a second brewing space, tasting room and bottle shop in partnership with Eataly at the heart of downtown Toronto. We’re grateful for how far we’ve come and we have no other goals but to keep on making bold beer and continue to serve excellence.

The bottom line is - we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to taste, enjoy, and have the choice of better food and better beer. It’s who we are. It’s why we’re here.

Very light, and surprisingly tart. Wheat aromas are muted, lots of fresh cut grasses, and some yeast. Thin mouth feel, soft carb. Low bitterness, slightly tart, yeasty, and some subtle citrus right at the end,

Solid porter! Good, rich malts, nice cocoa notes, with some nuttiness, and subtle hops. Great mouthfeel and carb. Finish is medium bitter with loads of nutty and chocolatey goodness.

On tap at the brewpub.
Hazy orange color, big white head. Aroma of yeast, and some tropical fruit, and sweet, fruity malts. Doesn’t remind me of a belgian ipa. Its kinda a cross between a belgian strong, and a triple. Interesting finish, quite fruity, and yeasty, but some nice pine hops come through with some slight citrus.

cask days 2011.
nice subtle spice, some yeasty notes, and light fruit. with a quite decent pungent citrus hop punch. i would like to see this with a little more lively carbonation, but yes i know it’s a cask. finish was medium bitter with a good pithy, resinous hop finish. a touch oily i found in the finish. good stuff though.

Nice citrus notes, earthy hops, fresh cut grass. Solid biscuity malts, cereals, and grains. The balance is quite impressive. Medium bitterness, citrus grassy finish.

ThiS stout poured a deep black colour with a creamy, brown head. Nice lacing. Scents include roasted malts, a little smoke, Quik chocolate, dark toast and coffee. First swig was delicious with flavours of coffee, roasted malts and cocoa. Finish is dark toast, cocoa, light hop bitterness and a nice roasted malt flavour. Coffee and cocoa flavours lingering.

Really nice bretty funk, without being actually sour, over mild wheat malts. Passingly sweet base. Washed out orange. Clean, flavourful, good.

Can from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Aroma is grapefruit, fruity hop, pine resin, citrus, malt, orange. Flavour is medium bitter and light sweet. Body is medium. What a pleasant time capsule to the kind of classic IPA that bewitched me so way back in the day.
