An unfiltered deep gold body topped by a well laced white head. The nose punches with fresh grapefruit and malt. A juicy IPA with slightly more malt than a classic west coaster, but I’m likin’ it. Taste profile leads with a slightly rindy (that’s a good thing) grapefruit hoppiness, orange and mango. The malt is solid, bready and slightly sweet. Medium plus carbonation, a nice smooth texture and a medium density are all good with me. Well done, Barnstormer.

Can from the lcbo. Hazy Copper pour, with a large white, sticky head. Aroma is very resinous, lots of pine with subtle brown sugar and a little soapy hop. Mouth feel is very full, carb is spot on. The finish is medium bitter, close to high, with loads of strong pine resins. This is a brute of an IPA, very piney and malty. Subtle sweet malts, and soapy resinous hops.

Can at the northern ontario beer fest. Clear golden yellow pour, small white head. Aroma has some solid hops, i was quite surprised. Nice spicy grassy notes, with subtle citrus. Good body, good carb. Finish is crisp, good cereals, a good blonde ale.

Can at the northern ontario beer fest. Hazy pour, with a light beige, almost clear pour, with next to no head. Aroma is green, smells like freshly cut watermelon rind, with a hint if melon sweetness. Mouthfeel is watery and the carb is very soft. The finish is crisp, and clean, not much going on though. Subtle malted wheat and more light melon rind.

On tap at session muskoka. Clear amber pour, medium white head. Aroma is citrusy, but not over powering. Subtle grains, light pine. Pretty basic session ipa, loads of nice aroma, bitterness is at a minimum, flavour is pleasant, but doesn’t live up to the big citrusy aroma. Not bad but not great.

Bomber from the brewery. Copper pour, with a big off white head with alot of sticky lacing. Aroma is incredibly piney. Loads of resin, and super green sticky hop cones. Malts are there, but they take a back seat. They are sweet, and quite malty, with slme subtle spice. Finish is just a pine resin much in the throat, and quite bitter. A little rough around the edges, but to me this is an old school craft dipa. Before everything got drowned in citra hops and big grapefruit flavours. Huge sweet malt bill balanced with a buttload of piney hops.

Slightly hazy golden pour with a small white head. Aroma is yeasty with notes of banana and some tropical fruit with some nice fruity hops. Notes of apricot and lychee mingle with some nice cereals. The body is fine and the carb is good. The finish is light to medium bitter with a slightly dry finish. The hops are more upfront at the end with some pine and more tropical fruit.

Dark copper, light brown pour. Murky with a big off white head. Malty aroma, notes of bready cereals, quite nutty, with some brown sugar and subtle pears and apples. Viscous mouth feel and low carb. Finish is quite bitter with zero sweetness. Nuttiness and slight grassy hops finish it off.

In tap at sawdust city. Interesting take on the style
The malts are bready and biscuity, but the hops are soapy, and piney. medium bitterness and a slightly piney, citrusy finish.
