Description

On tap at the brewpub. Clear, dark copper pour, tiny off white head. Huge boozy, yeast aroma with alot of spicing from the choice of hops. Quite bready, and subtle grains. Very sweet, but spicy. This beer is all over the place. Its muddles and hard to pin point the style really.

On tap at the brewpub.
Black pour, with a small offwhite head. Dark mollasses aroma with big black liquorice, and star anise notes with subtle pine resin hops. Full body, very soft carb. The finish is quite bready, sweet malts, and loads more black liquorice and star anise. Low bitterness, with a very flavourful pine resin end. Not sure the hops go with the spices, but it was a decent sipper.

Ever so slightly hazy yellow pour, big white head. Crisp malted wheat aroma with earthy, pine resin hops. Medium bitterness, very wheaty finish. Cloves and yeast finish it out. A cross between a tradition hefe and a hopfenweisse.

Dark copper pour, big off white head. Aroma of caramel malts, slightly sweet, candied orange peel, and orange zest. Carb, and mouth feel as very soft. Finish is medium bitter, and it lingers quite long. Lots of sweet candied citrus notes, juicy, and sweet. Not over tye top, but still very pleasant.

On tap at the brewpub. Slightly hazy copper pour, tiny white head. Huge spice aroma, loads of cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamon, and cloves. This is a spice bomb. Nothing else going on really, not my bag. But a spice bomb fan would love it!

On tap at the brewpub. Clear copper pour, very subtle smoky aroma, with some solid cereals and grassy hops. Reminds me alot of the raftman by unibroue, using scotch malts for smokiness. More smoke comes through in the finish with nice smoky scotch flavours with grassy hops.

500ml bottle from le depanneur chez gibb in Rouyn Noranda.
Hazy copper pour, small white head. Aroma is quite pungent, light citrus, some pine resins, and some bright herbacious grassiness. Good mouth feel, good carbonation. The finish leaves quite a fruitiness on the palette. Some really nice tropical notes like pineapple, and mango. Light to medium bitterness, a nice quaff.

Hazy orange pour, small off white head, loads of sticky lacing. Huge upfront aroma of sweet mandarins, and grapefruit. Then the sauvin hops kick in. Big notes of white wine grapes and a lovely acitidy. Gorgeous aroma! Perfect mouth feel, and carb. The finish is more acidic hops with loads of citrus with no malts to be found, great stuff!
