Bottle - thanks to Brian! Pours hazy golden, small white head, good lacing. Aroma is superfunk, major barnyard, hay and Brett. Flavor is very light sweet, very funky, lots of Brett, feet, horse blankets, musty basements. Fairly sharp. Medium body. As somebody at the tasting commented, this is mainly just a yeast vessel. There is nothing going on here but liquid suspended yeast.

Bottle. Pale straw beer with a whitish head. Tart and bretty aroma with grapefruit and tropical fruit. Oak and grapefruit flavor with tartness. Medium bodied. Oak and grapefruit linger with tartness and light spice.

Bottle. Pours with a very light hazed yellow hued body with a medium sized rocky white head with good retention. Aromas are of dried fruit, apricot, light hops, some funk, moderate clove phenols, black pepper, mango, ripe apple, barnyard, strawberry. Mild malt. Flavors are a bit soapy, funky, light plastic phenols. Pretty fruit forward with ripe apple, mild stone fruit. Plastic/suntan lotion phenol gets very distracting as it warms. Briney. Lively carbonation, dry body.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma is fairly fruit forward with pineapple, mango and other tropical fruits. Some light red apple and stone fruit with hints of citrus. A moderate phenolic note, mostly grains of paradise and coriander but also a touch of pepper and Band-Aid. Light background grain notes. Pours a pale, hazy, gold with a large, thick, frothy white head that shows above average retention. Moderate lacing and faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with a bit of a light grain note. Moderate phenolic notes of coriander, pepper and clove with some medium Band-Aid notes. Moderate tropical fruit with pineapple and mango most prevalent. Light citrus and acidity as well as light stone fruit. Rather dry finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer but the phenolic character is a bit over powering and off putting. Some nice citrus and fruit, but not enough. Not sure if the yeast is just going through a bad stretch or if this need to be consumed very fresh.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma is fruity with quite a bit of pineapple and stone fruit as well as other tropical fruits. A medium light phenolic note that is floral and spicy reigns in all the fruitiness. A faint pale malt note in the background. Medium light citrus aroma and a touch of an herbal character. Pours surprisingly clear for a Brett beer with a pale yellow gold color and a large, pillow, white head with good retention. High lacing and faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet but finishes very dry. In the sweetness you get pineapple, mango and stone fruit. Hints of melon and moderate citrus are also there as well as a strawberry note. As the sweetness recedes a phenolic note adding a nice spicy, herbal and woodsy character takes hold. Medium to medium high bitterness. Faint cracker malt notes in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty enjoyable Brett IPA where the yeast notes work really well with the hop character. It?s difficult to pinpoint which components are from the Brett vs the hops. I like that the malt really takes a back seat.

Capped 750 from Bine & Vine. Pours hazy lemon gold with a creamy, large white head. Aroma of brett/funk/sweat sox. And grapes - but not vinegar. Med body or so. Flavor is brett/funk and there’s a lot of fruit which seems to include citrus and grape. It is incredibly tasty. Clean and refreshing. Amazing.

Last bottle of the tasting - thanks to Nolen! Pours hazy pale yellow with a large white creamy head that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is tons of Brett with a lot of tropical stuff underneath, passionfruit, mango, sweat socks. Flavor is very light sweet going to dry, light plus bitter, medium funky, Brett and more Brett, tropical notes. Medium body. I really liked this one, but others certainly had a different opinion.

The beer is bright, pale yellow, clouded over. Voluminous white head. Rocky and a touch fizzy. A little bit of lacing. The aroma is an excellent blend of hops and funk. Nelson is upfront, bright and fruity, while underneath there is an earthy, mushroomy, dirty brett. It’s grapes and pineapples. Light acidity. Mild crackery pale malt. The beer is dry with moderate to medium bitterness, at least for a hoppy brett beer. The mild acidity comes though to taste. It oozes funk, but the fruity hops remain bright and juicy. Light on the palate, softly effervescent. This is an excellent blending of hops and brett. A very fun beer for anyone that likes this combination.

[2/12/15] Bottle sample at joet’s place. Thanks Joe! Cloudy yellow. Aroma of brett, fruitiness and a bit of aluminum foil. Very dry flavor with some funk, fruitiness, aluminum and soapy/rubbery notes. Medium-bodied.

Capped 750 from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours hazy gold with a creamy/foamy white head. Large bubble blew up on the bottle, then went "pop". Aroma of yeast, funk, citrus (maybe even pineapple), and some brett notes. Med body. Flavor starts funky/paper, moves on to citrus/pineapple, then continues by leaving barnyard tracks on the tongue. Rather mild sour in some ways, but the flavors are substantial. Think we have a winner here.
