In 2015, a new generation has risen and so has the brewery. The Verbeeck-Back family bloodline was reinforced by the De Cock family. Together, they have formed the formidable, reassuringly Belgian-sounding name Verbeeck – Back – De Cock. VBDCK. This new crop of VBDCK heirs to the family tradition of Belgian quality and craft has literally been digging up history by its roots. They are ripping through the nostalgic silence with KEREL, the beer that says it all, and the transformation of the original brewery and family residence into a new place to stay.

hazy orange to bright amber colour, large, dense ecru-ish head; aroma of (canned) pear, peach, marmalade, grapefruity or rather pomelo and some biscuity notes; taste is more hoppy-bitterish than expected based on the aroma (which is supported also by some burnt bitterness) but the fruitiness and citrusy notes can also be felt; correct one

hazy amber colour, large, creamy beige-ish ecru head, which lasts for several minutes; aroma of pine resiny, marmalade, grapefruity, some apricot jam and toffee notes; taste is the same with moderate roasted nutty notes; well, rather like a hoppy classical IPA than a black IPA, but anyway, it is really great!

opalescent pale yellow colour, moderate sized dense snow-white head; aroma of pomelo, grpefruit, orange juice, some grassy-lemongrassy and maybe barnyard notes; taste has the same notes as can be felt in the aroma with quite definite hoppy-grapefruity bitterness; not bad at all
