The appearance is a light golden yellow colored body with a one and a half finger white foamy head, with some clingy lacing.
The smell is grassy, grainy and a little bit of sweet corn, just a little spicy.
The taste has a light grassy/graininess, sweet aftertaste, sticky finish.
The palate is light, sessionable, carbonation seems adequate for the style - nothing sharp, nothing watery and nothing spectacular.
Overall, nothing spectacular, but nothing bad, would I have it again, perhaps depending what else was served, just another American Blonde Ale.

Reviewed from notes. She pours brown and leaves the same colored body with a one finger white foamy head, leaves a nice speckled lacing that spiderwebs appropriately for an American Brown Ale. The smell is roasty and toasty, nutty, malty, bready, slight caramel. The taste is nutty sweet and the caramel comes back to add into the flavoring, nutty aftertaste, watery finish. On the palate, she sits about a medium, and comes across fairly sessionable - perhaps, carbonation seems a bit subdued for the style and seems fairly good to me, nothing bad but nothing spectacular. Overall, I say this is a good American Brown Ale, though perhaps closer to an English Brown Ale, no worries (seems its semantics these days), I’d still have this again, and you know what: Browns are absolutely awesome to have this time of year, I’ve actually waited to have this until now.

Into a pint glass.
She pours jet black and leaves the same colored body with a one finger foamy off white head that leaves some nice foamy lacing in rings.
The smell is roasty, nutty, and has some strong coffee beans.
The taste has bitter coffee yet also slightly roasty and nutty, bitter coffee aftertaste, super dry finish.
On the palate, its about a medium of sorts and comes across somewhat sessionable, carbonation feels right for the style and for me, decent harshness invading the mouth and tongue, but honestly I say it cuts just right.
Overall, this is a good oatmeal stout that I would have again, especially for the fact that it held up this long, which means I definitely would try again fresher, quite possibly the best one by Kassik’s (I knew there was a reason why I kept trying their stuff).

Black stamp bottom right corner of the label reads: MFG10212013. Consumed on December 17, 2013. 22oz bomber into a pint glass.
The appearance is hazy golden colored body with a one finger white foamy head that quickly dies in about thirty seconds, minimal amount of sliding lacing, carbonation is seen bouncing upwards through the body at a moderate pace. The aroma has the normal aroma of a cream ale with some added ginger and malty sweetness, there seems to be some nutmeg thrown in there as well. The taste is mainly sweet through the malt, but the ginger and nutmeg adds a nice festive flavoring that makes this cream ale a bit more tastier than most of its style; super sweet malty aftertaste, slight spicy finish. On the palate, well, its kinda light, pretty sessionable for the most part as most cream ales should be, carbonation is borderline (probably the spices are trying to make it somewhat harsh) but it still maintains a worthy feel of a cream ale. Overall, whoah, where the heck did this come from, a cream ale that shows complexity? Hey, way to go Kassik’s, here’s my pat on the back to you ... well worthy of coming back to around the holidays and well worthy of finally trading one of your beers.

Is this from last year, by looking at the date? I dunno, but I’m liking this so far; Into a mug. The appearance has a hazy dark brown colored body with a one finger white foamy head that dies at a nice pace leaving some nice foamy lacing in its wake, spiderwebs slightly after a good minute. The smell is nutty and malty with some nice added chocolate to add a slight sweetness, do I smell root beer? I think so, but I like it. The taste is mainly sweet through the previously mentioned flavors, nutty aftertaste, sticky yet dry nutty finish. On the palate, its on the medium side, sessionable - hmmm... not as much as some American Brown Ales can, but given the ABV level I can see why this isn’t - no worries. Overall, its about time, Kassik’s - good job, not sure if this is aged as I’m still trying to understand what the date means on these 22 oz-ers, but I’m liking this for the most part, Kassik’s best one so far, perhaps. I say you hit one out of the park with this one.

Pours a muddy dark brown with a very generous head for a barleywine. Sweet nutty caramel aroma. The flavor is sweet with little hop flavor. Pretty simple Barleywine. Hides it’s alcohol well.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a thick two centimetre tall lighter brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, alcohol, chocolate, cherries, strawberries and a bit of icing sugar. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong roasted malt flavours with a lot of chocolate bitterness and a good rich cherry flavour that pokes through some of the bitterness. Aftertaste shows a good complexity with a little nuttiness, some oats and quite a bit of earthy malt, coupled with a lot of milky and soft chocolate flavours. Overall, a nice robust beer with a ton of nice flavour and a soft finish, despite the bitterness up front. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Brown Jug in Anchorage (Old Seward Location) on 26-May-2013 for US$7.99 sampled at home in New Paltz, New York on 29-November-2013.

From a 22 oz bottle shared at home. Pours a clear brownish amber with a tan head. Malty nose. Flavors of caramel and some tropical fruit. Medium to heavy bodied and moderate carbonation. Hides the alcohol well. Smooth and well balanced.
