On tap at Tent City Taphouse, pours a hazy pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is pure yoghurt upfront, with subdued earth rhubarb and nary a trace of strawberry. Flavour is a yogurt bomb, with subdued strawberry and earthy rhubarb. This really isn't good. An unpleasant yogurt bomb that doesn't make good use of the fruit. Poor.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a bit of a glow and a super opaque, almost black coloured body with a nice three centimetre tall tan and light-brown coloured body with a nice lace on the sides of the glass as it fades. Aroma of roasted malts, oatmeal, light pitted fruits, some raisins and figs with a light dose of lactose and cream noticeable along with some tart cherry notes as well, at least in the nose. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong tart cherry and softer fruit flavours show at first with the pitted fruits and light sweetness here along with a good deal of roasted notes and some bread and grain as well with dry fruity quality and some softer chocolate elements, especially towards the end. Aftertaste shows the light creaminess with some light lactose notes, but a lot of lighter fruits such as the cherries and raisins all noticeable and a soft sweetness with some lactose here, but also some chocolate, but the oatmeal and roasted malts are strongest at the end. Overall, a very nice and robust, slightly tart and soured beer with the cherries the reason here, with some deep malts and small dose of alcohol, but that's all good for keeping you warm in the wintertime in Alaska. I sampled this tall, 19,2 ounce can, purchased from La Bodega in Anchorage, Alaska on 05-October-2021 for US$4,25 sampled at my house here on the other side of the country in Washington on 23-October-2021.

Clear golden coloured body with a decent two to three centimetre tall off-white head that stays afloat nicely and shows off the clear body. Aroma of yeast, bread, honey, grass, grains and very mellow notes, but the breadiness and yeast scents are by far the strongest here. Light-bodied; Very crisp grassy and biscuity flavours dominate with a lot of honey and bready notes, some yeast that pokes through and a mellow dash of very subdued hops, but nothing exciting or strong, of course. Aftertaste shows more of the same with honey and sweetness beating out the biscuity and honey notes and bringing a light grassy characteristic out as well. Overall, a pretty poor beer, but at least showing some honey and dry biscuity flavours to couple with the yeast and bread notes. I sampled this 19,2 ounce tall can, purchased from SafeWay in Fairbanks, Alaska on 23-June-2021 for US$4,99 sampled in my hotel room here in Anchorage, Alaska on 27-June-2021 after seeing the beautiful sight of Denali in full glory earlier in the day with my wife and three kids.
