Aus der Flasche (bbe 09.2030) im 2021-10 getrunken. Dieses schwer malzige, dunkelbraune Barley Wine im Europäischen Stil kommt durch die getrofte Whiskyfassreifung mit einem deutlichen Aroma von verkohlten Holz daher. Gerade mit der Süße paßt das überrascht gut. Und auch der Alkoholgehalt ist sehr gut eingebunden. Ein spannendes Bier allerdings nicht für jeden Tag.

Color dorado con espuma blanca, buena retención. Aroma cítrico y herbal. Sabor con leve amargor, notas cítricas. Final con amargor moderado. Muy bebible

More cloudy orange to beige beer, small creamy off-white head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet impression, dank, tropical fruits, good! MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter and hoppy, some tropical fruits, juicy, oranges, good stuff! Aftertaste: very dank, very bitter, tropical fruits, juicy, good stuff!

Bottle. Color: Black, thin brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, bit boozy. Taste: Roasted malt, molasses, dark chocolate, vanilla, boozy, tobacco. Full body, just below average carbonation. Very nice.

This beer is objectively fantastic. Even for the low abv (no super maxed ingredients needed) it is just so complex and rich. The scotch contribution is just spot on. Even better warmer. Sterk ams
