12 ounce bottle from Harris Teeter Barracks Rd. CHO, 8/5/22. Dark brown, medium tan head, good retention. Aroma of caramel, vanilla, hint of roast. Seems artificial. Taste is tart cherry, caramel. Infection? The cherry is suspect. It does dominate. Not good.

16oz can, purchased from Costco. Poured a dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma was a blast of strawberries, with caramel coffee notes. Macchiato character comes through, with fresh strawberries. A touch thin, but tasty.

Very dark brown coloured body with a thick, three to four centimetre tall off-white and light brown head that covers the beer nicely. Aroma of a crazy amalgamation of scents with peppermint extracts/essence, roasted malt, pitted fruit, coffee, tons of chocolate notes and a lot of sweetness, in the nose at least. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong, super funky peppermint notes dominate the flavour in a very odd way with a lot of artificial flavours along with a big hit of chocolate, but the funky note here is a slightly soured, tart note that reminds me of lemons or citrus fruit, but does not really work with this set of flavours obviously, but there is also a big note of coffee and lactose here that doesn't work well with the peppermint. Aftertaste is all over the place as well, with a lot of funky flavours, a ton of fake peppermint notes, a lot of chocolate, coffee and bitterness, with the roasted malts and lactose here as well and even the tart citrus fruits that make this really wierd. Overall, not a good execution, or if it was, way too complex of a recipe/flavour combination and this is [naturally], all over the place with tastes that should not be combined at all - this naturally can be passed over and you wouldn't be missing much of anything. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Giant [food] in Alexandria, Virginia on 25-November-2020 for US$1,99 (mixed six pack), as beer #23 of my Christmas Advent Calendar for 2021, sampled in my hotel room here in Charleston, South Carolina on 27-December-2021.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a thick, but very fast-dying light brown head that starts at around six centimetres tall, but fades to a single centimetre after a minute or so. Aroma of peanuts, earth, nuts, toffee, light spices and a big hit of caramelised sugars with a lot of pungent flavours that are noticeable throughout with some grain and earthiness here, but the nuts and pungent malts are by far the strongest here, at least in the nose. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong earthy and super nutty qualities come out in force with a lot of rustic grainy and especially caramelised sugar and toffee flavours are pungent and bringing out some lactose and creaminess near the end. Aftertaste shows some cloying and very sweet sugars on the end with some residual sugars and relatively pungent earthy and nutty flavours that hit hard and enjoyable, after you get past the funky, way too complex sweetness that they try to accomplish here, but peanuts still remain the strongest. Overall, a pretty nice, but deep and incredibly sweet, nutty, malty and pungent beer that hits strong throughout with a lot of peanuts, earth, caramel, grain and lactose, creaminess that give this a ton of flavour and potency , but the pungent flavours are the strongest. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Costco in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 20-August-2021 for US$2,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 12-Decmeber-2021 as the 12th day of my Advent Calendar here.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a very thick, six to seven centimetre tall tan and light brown head that is large bubbled and super ugly , but fades fairly quickly without leaving anything on the sides. Aroma of crazy bright oranges, lactose, roasted malt, cream and oatmeal with a dank nose from the citrus fruit and caramelised sugars with a cloying sweetness with a good dose of oranges and roasted malt with some light touches of coffee and grain as well that seems strong in the nose. Medium-bodied; Strong rich roasted malt and caramelised sugar flavours show at first with some lactose and odd grains on the back end, but a ton of vanilla and somehow even more of the oranges and citrus fruit flavours that has an odd combination but both are strong. Aftertaste shows the oranges, lactose, vanilla, grain, coffee and earthiness with some additional sweetness from the malts that comes through as rich, but a very odd combination of flavours throughout. Overall, an odd, wierd, funky and just about working beer that has some nice enough flavours, if you like them at all, let alone together, that shows a good layer of roasted malts and caramelised sugars before the rest of the crazy notes come through. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Costco Wholesale in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 19-April-2021 for US$2,69 sampled at my house here in Washington on 22-November-2021.

12oz bottle from Total Wine. Cloudy amber pour, small fine foamy head. Sweet malty aroma. Sweetnes dominates the taste as well, way too sweet. Toffe malt notes, but the overwhelming sweetness overshadows everything.
