Bottle. Color: Ruby to copper, thin beige head. Aroma: Malty, caramel, herbal wood. Taste: Malty, caramel with pretty strong herbal wood notes. Taste of essential oils, hints of lemon and vanilla and light hints of coconut. Dry, astringent mouthfeel. Medium to over medium body, below average carbonation. Quite nice, although I think I prefer to smell essential oils instead of tasting them. It's a bit like tasting perfume or soap, in my opinion. Although I can understand that another one really likes this, it's just a bit too much for me.

Bottled as Lentezoentje, brewed in Zaandam. Pale amber color. Yeasty citrusaroma and flavor with a hint of ginger. Yeasty bitter aftertaste. 5 3 6 2 10 = 2.6 Bottle as Saens Zoentje, brewed at 7 Deugden. Amber color. Malty toffee aroma. Malty sweet, bready toffee flavor. Soft floral and citric notes. Fairly pleasant spring beer.

Bottle bought as "Herfstbokkie" but undoubtedly the same beer, Dark brown color. Caramel aroma. Caramelly sweet, roasty flavor with a hint of licorice. Pleasant drinker. 6 3 7 3 12 = 3.1 2013 version, Saense Herfst. Brewed @ Anders. Hasn’t improved since its move to Belgium. Brown color. caramel and cellar notes in the aroma. Malty sweet, caramelly flavor with sulphury notes.

Bottle. label says 6%. Dark brown color. Roast, cellar notes and sulphur in the aroma. Roasty caramelly sweetish flavor with sulphur and hints of milk chocolate. Cellar aftertaste. Dirty mouthfeel, poor balance.

Bottle, pale blonde. Pours a huge head. Spicy citrus aroma with coreander and hints of vinegar. Spicy soft sourish sulphuty flavor with coriander dominating. Citrus. Sulphury finish. Unbalanced and maybe even infected.
