The vast and delicious cuisines of Central and South America hold a treasure trove of flavors, aromas and textures, much of which feels right at home in a well-made beer. We combine these ingredients and ideas with our own experiences to make subtle and deeply delicious beers, not mere novelty items. Each beer speaks with our voice and adds to the story. We put the best ingredients together so that the whole beer adds up to much more than the sum of its parts.

Bottle shared during RBWG 2016. Pours clear, thick brown with a bubbly head. Moderate roast in the nose, some dried dark fruits, earth, cocoa. Medium sweet flavor, a little oily, some caramel, bitter earth, cocoa. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, some further chocolate, mild espresso. Tasty.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy, yellowish-green, with a medium, bubbly, white head. The nose is lime, straw, coriander, tequila, and selzer. Relatively sweet, with a light, dry bitterness. Light body, crisp, acidic, and very effervescent. This is an interesting and well made wheat.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly pitch black color with a 2 finger dense tan head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, toasted dark bread, nuttiness, light herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Fantastic aromas with awesome complexity and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee/caramel, and light earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of huge milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, toasted dark bread, nuttiness, light herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, toasted dark bread, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee/caramel, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an incredible imperial porter style! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee/caramel, and light earthy hop flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

Bottle at Boundary. Pours a clear amber copper with a near white head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma has dark grains and a bit of dark fruits and a touch of toffee. Flavor has a decent amount of spice with dark grains and some toffee underlying.

Sample at the "HOOOOFFHEEARRTTTTEEDDDDDD!" tasting on 11/09/2015. The beer is a cloudy pink grapefruit juice color with a medium fizzy pinkish-white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of fruit, wheat and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of citrus, guava, herbal wheat and doughy malt. The finish is fruity with a citrusy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle from Trade Joes, Chicago. Yellow color and a good jead, theu got the appearance right. Sadly it is downhill from there. Some noble hops but not enougj, and to get the alcohol up, they used a lot of malt which makes this too sweet.
