Bottle sample at Champlain Orchards, pours a hazy dark bright red with a tiny head. Nose brings out semi-sweet red grapes and crisp apples. Flavour is along the same lines, with dry red grapes, crisp apples, and some tannins from the skins. Dry and grape-dominated. Okay.

Can sample at Champlain Orchards, pours a clear golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out subtle sweetness, light maple syrup, and some crisp apples. Flavour is loaded with maple syrup, with the apples taking a backseat. Really nice expression on the maple syrup. Crisp despite being sweet. Nice stuff.

Pours an amazing rose from a bottle. Aroma is a winey cranberry, raspberry and strawberry, smells somehow syrupy. Flavor is a sweeter than anticipated cranberry apple cider, very floral, fresh, with a good hit of tartness. If I had my druthers would prefer it slightly more dry, but a very good cider nonetheless.

Tap at Troy brewfest. McIntosh is the varietal I’m most familiar with via my moms famous apple pie and it’s in full effect here. Nose is thick pulpy apple flesh. Tastes much the same, with some tartness as well, and faint maple and grass. Slight sweetness but not bad. Decent.

Golden orange. Tiny bubbles. Distinct ginger aroma. Christmas spice. Tastes like gingerbread cookies. There’s so much ginger. It’s actually a spicy there’s so much of it. Omg make it stop. Apple, cinnamon, brown sugar and pain.
