Description
Nohoval Drinks Company also known as Stonewell Cider and Finnbarra Cider.
Founded by Daniel and Geraldine Emerson in 2010 the company has experienced considerable growth over the years in Ireland as Stonewell Cider and with our export brand Finnbarra Cider.
We have a small full-time team of traditional Irish cider makers here at Stonewell. Myself, Daniel, principal cider maker and apparently general run around. Géraldine, herself who keeps us on our toes! Ed joined us in 2018 and is one of our key traditional cider makers. With a great nose and palate for obtaining good blends, Ed works exceptionally hard to make sure that we as cider makers do a good job.

A bottle at Henchy's, Cork. Clear golden, sparkling. Rustica apple flavour, apple skin, tart white grapes, a hint of apple vinegar. Moderately to heavily tart, ripe apple flavour, soft vinegar notes. Soft creaminess, medium body.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo via danlo, cheers. Aroma of toffee, spice, hint of biscuit, alcohol and apple pulp. Taste is sweet and bitter at the same time. Fleshy apple and apple pulp. Warm alcohol hit at the end. Very nice.

Wow, it’s really like a Tawny port. “Aged” tasting with strong alcohol burn, raisins, honey, dry finish. Good for slow sipping.
