Bottle: Poured a deep bright amber color ale with a large enough foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of spices and honey is quite wonderful – I can’t say what spices are used (coriander? And something else) but the mix is very interesting. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. I must admit to being quite surprised – the spice mix is wonderful and the honey smoothed out everything else.

Bottle: Poured a medium amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and not much lacing. Aroma of fruity ester and lightly bitter hops with some light floral notes also discernible. Taste is not as bitter as most IPA I know and then to be more of a English floral type of IPA with some fruity ester and medium caramel malt. Body is about average with good carbonation. OK but really nothing to write home about.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a mostly clear pale yellow body and a fading white head. Aroma of sweet apple, banana and honey. Taste is light lemon/tart with dry apple and some spice. Prickly carbonation and a dry finish.

Bottle marked at 10.8% ABV thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a tan head and a hazy ruby-amber-brown body. Aroma of smoke, caramelized notes, alcohol, brandy and fruits. Taste is sweet and a bit chalky with smoke alcohol and caramel. Light bubbles and a syrupy mouthfeel.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a tan head and a murky brown body. Aroma of plastic, cold pressed coffee and biscotti. Taste is burnt, coffee, dark chocolate, bitter, earth and dirt. Medium bodied.

A hazed ornage amber ale with a thin off white head. A rather herbal hops aroma, grassy. In mouth, a good biscuitty crisp malts, with rather German hops, not very IPA-like. On tap at Fête Bières et Saveurs, Sept. 7 2009.

A hazy dark amber ale with a thin off white head. A nice coriander and malt aroma. A sweet malt and coriander, orange peels, candy sugar, honey, more on the underfermented side. On tap at Mondiale 2009.

Bottled at PBF (10.8%). Clear mahogany colour, no head. Strawberry caramel, coffee and alcohol pushes for attention in a crowded aroma. Seet and full bodied with rather clean mouthfeel. Carmel and sume sugar, notes of cranberries. Dusty finish with quite a bit of warming alcohol.

Bottled (10.8%). Reddish amber colour, small brown head. Aroma is caramel, toffee, some alcohol and mild fudge. Flavour is caramel, toggee, alcohol and coffee. Also some very spices stuff. Mild leathery notes as well.

Bottled, alc. 10.8% (PBF, courtesy of Timo A.). Ruby red color, small beige head. Caramelly, some honey, some chocolate in the nose. Foamy mouthfeel. Some alcohol, honey, grassy hops, caramel. I would say that "Scotch Ale" is quite close what this beer is.
