Herber und hopfig-malziger Antrunk. Im Mittelteil führt die Malzigkeit, die frisch würzig und hintergründig schokoladig ist. Herb-schokoladiger Abgang mit deutlichem Hopfenanteil, gut! 11/11/10/11/9/11

Herber und kräuterartig würziger Antrunk. Wenig alkoholisch, der Hopfen spielt vor allem im Mittelteil eine große Bedeutung. So geht es weiter, der Hopfen wächst erheblich während die anderen Noten abflachen, dabei wird er zum Ende stechend. Vollmundig, stark hopfig-würzig, wenig Vanille. 11/11/11/10/11/11

Hopfenbetonter Malzantrunk, wobei der Hopfen deutlich stärker ausgeprägt ist als das Malz. Im Verlauf harmonieren Malz und Hopfen gut miteinander, mal ist das Malz, meist aber der Hopfen überlegen. Stark, stimmig, trocken. Später dazu bitter, grasig, etwas gerstig. Sehr gut! 11/12/12/12/13/12

Funky lemon nose with rosehip accents and apricot hints. Hazy copper, thin head. Very dry initially, but gets progressively sweeter, never getting very sweet. Rosehips in the beginning, finishing with dried apricots. Perfumey throughout, which may be much for some. Fruity and floral, not overly bitter, but too dry.

Bottle at Maltzilla’s tasting. Pours medium brown color with tan head. Aromas of caramel with some citrus and pine. Moderately sweet flavor with some grapefruit and oranges. Medium body with average carbonation.

22oz bottle. Poured a hazy orange color with medium sized white head. Aroma was hoppy, notes of citrus (orange, touch of grapefruit), touch of Belgian yeast. Flavor was hoppy, with a strong Belgian yeast flavor that rounded out the whole thing for me. This was a solid beer!

Bottle via a trade. Pours with a medium sized, creamy, off-white head with good retention and lacing. Body is a murky brown to bronze hue. Clarity is pretty poor. Aroma is first and foremost hops, featuring notes of pine, citrus, orange, light mango, and tropical fruits. Lightly sweet, caramel malt presence that goes towards toffee and brown sugar at certain moments. Lightly grainy and bready. Floral, tangerine. Medium esters. Flavors are dry, bitter, lightly astringent up front. Medium malt sweetness on the mid palate, finishing with a fruity (tropical, citrus, tangerine) hop presence accompanied by an assertive bitterness, and a bit husky and chalky as well. Aftertaste is a bit of a bready grain character with a bit of fruit (esters and hops). Medium to long duration. Bitter balance. Lightly roasty, which is a touch off-putting. A bit of a grassy, vegital hop presence is also noticeable. Medium to lively carbonation, a touch creamy. A bit astringent. Medium alcohol presence. A decent beer overall but some harsh astringencies (married to the slight roast flavor) are a bit off-putting for me. Nice hop bill though.

22oz bottle. Poured a cloudy golden color, foamy white head. Aroma was orange, citrus, notes of wheat, grassy. Flavor was refreshing, orange notes, wheat, coriander. Tasty.

Pour is a black with a large tan head. Aroma is deffinatly a fresh pine hop. Flavor is at first a dark roasted malt then comes a nice pine hop and some chocolate left on the tounge. Of all the black IPA’s I’ve had this one fits the bill the most. Pleanty of hops with roasted things going on in the backround.
