Draft. A- Vanilla, subtle caramel, playdoh. A- Dull copper color, hazy liquid, off white head. T- Vanilla, subtle cinnamon, subtle caramel, playdoh. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- This beer was loaded full of vanilla. Tasted more artificial than real vanilla but managed to be very tasty. Only a slight hint of cinnamon towards the finish. Also a unique aroma and taste I can only describe as playdoh. It wasn’t bad it just made it a bit weird. Quite tasty.

Draft. A- Sour, tart, citrus. A- Yellow color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Sour, tart. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, sour finish. O- Can’t say I detected any plum at all. Certainly sour though. As a whole, it was a nice sour, but really needs a load more of plum. This seems like it would be a good base beer for other ventures.

Draft/Fest. A- Malty, subtle caramel. A- Orange color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Malty, subtle caramel, bready. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish. O- Fair. A little caramel and bread and spice. Just another Americanized rendition of this style.

Bottle. A- Coconut, vanilla, oak, boozy, wood, burnt sugars. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Coconut, oak, booze, caramel, mild bitterness. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- A bit pricey at $20 a bomber but one I knew I had to have for a couple reasons. One being that before my grandpa passed away he gave me a bottle of Wyoming Whiskey, one of his favorites and until this beer I’d never seen it or heard of it elsewhere. Another in that Kinkaider has been doing some great things. Kept about 6 months before opening and it’s definitely boozy but not hot. The aging imparts aromas of coconut, vanilla, whisky, and oak on the nose. The flavor follows suit. I think this would be even better if I laid it down for a couple years and these barrels would make great use for aging a barley wine!

Bottle. A- Pine, caramel, tangerines. A- Copper orange color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Caramel, piney bitterness, sticky sweet. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- This was almost a caramel bomb. Nothing against that but not what I expected. The bitterness is certainly subdued by it. Decent for me but can’t imagine it would please a lot of hop heads.

Draft. A- Caramel, nutty, bread, malty. A- Reddish brown color, hazy liquid, off white head. T- Bready, caramel, burnt toast, peanut butter powder. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish. O- Not too malty and a unique peanut/nutty taste going on. Not my style but a good take and generally solid beer.

Draft. A- Rose, lavender, cloves, spice, soap. A- Yellow color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Strong cloves, coriander, rose, spices. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, spiced finish. O- A little overspiced. Almost too much flavor going on. The rose petal taste is light and generally overwhelmed by other spices. Cut down on the spice in general and this would be very tasty and refreshing.

Draft. A- Roasty, coffee, baker’s cocoa. A- Dark copper color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Roasty, coffee, cocoa, dry, slightly sweet, brownie batter, vanilla. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Very balanced. A tad thin on the body but not bad. Looked more like an amber and tasted more like a sweet stout. Shockingly tasty for a brown ale. Some fine tuning and this could be the best brown ale I’ve ever had.
