Description
Legendary Place. Legendary Taste.

For going on a century, “Green Bay” has been synonymous with professional football, a place where guts meet grit on the field of play, and the gridiron greats of nine decades live on. Those who call Green Bay home couldn’t be prouder of that link.

At the same time, we’re also aware of our unique place in Wisconsin’s history.

We’re part of the fabric of a centuries-old community, a culture defined by the adventurous spirit of 17th-century French-Canadian merchants, the raw determination of settlers who came to log and farm; the visionary industrialists who established paper mills, breweries, canneries and other businesses; and the pioneers of transportation who connected our community to the rest of the nation by rail.

Both histories — our connection to the Green-and-Gold and our link to a storied cultural past — come together within the historic walls of Titletown.

The spirit of the community is embodied by the Titletown family and our commitment to delivering personalized, authentic experiences to our guests.

And that in itself is legendary.

Draft at OF. A Rye-Oktoberfest..interesting. Hazy amber-tan color. Oily, thin head. Malty, with a rich gingerbread and rye feel. Medium to full-bodied with a pleasant soapy hop balance. Toasty, not unlike a brown ale, with smooth lager yeast tones.

Draft at the OF. Oh yes, finally a Rauchbier makes it’s way to the Fash. Filtered looking, deep amber brown, approaching a Portery color. Certainly reminiscent of the greats like Schlenkerla. A great smoked beer, straight down the middle, perhaps with a little bonus chocolate malt.

Draft at the OF. Filtered orange-amber color, big fluffy white head. The aroma is great, full of earthy lemon-lime hop goodness. Medium bodied, easy and smooth malt-wise, with an interesting hop flavor. Lots of citrus, but leaning more towards lemon-lime than grapefruit. Quite clean, soapy and bitter.

Draft at OF. Opaque black with a respectable, lasting head. Nice roasty bittersweet chocolate aroma. Very nice. Full out flavor yet a medium bodied watery finish. Solid specialty malt bill. Creamy with a borderline lactic touch. True to style and right on.

Draft at the OF. Orange brown-tan color, looks filtered. Nice foamy beige head. Malty aroma with a touch of citrus fruit. Crisp and woody, with a nice sandy dark malt sharp aftertaste. This really hits the spot, capturing the best parts of Brown Ale, Lager, and hoppy APA all in one. Quite astringent and soapy at times, but still achieves an excellent balance with the deeper dark malts. This is a great California Common!

Draft at the OF. Deep brown-amber color. Amber malt aroma. Amber malt taste, with a slight soapy, spicy, hop edge. Medium to full bodied. A nice Amber, pretty right on for a style I’m admittedly not wild about.

Beer #23 at GTMW ’09. They called it "Dark Helmet #3" when poured. Dark beer, head starts brown at point of beer contact, but is quite white at the top. After a note of root beer to start, the taste tends more toward a stout in taste, with dark roasts, but no chocolate or coffee. Goes down very nice.

From Skyview. Aroma has oak with light smoke. Moderate smoke in the flavor, with a thin but appropriate malt body. Very dark brown, with a medium palate. A fine job from a small brewpub. Certainly recognizable as a smoked beer. I wish more small brewers would give this style a go.

Chocolate in the aroma and the flavor. Medium palate. Lager yeast in the flavor. Some oatmeal and a moderately roasted flavor. More like a dry stout, lacking the flavors I like in a Baltic porter.
