On tap @ the new location in downtown Fort Collins. Pours a fairly clear golden yellow appearance with a white head. Aroma is pretty bland. Some herbal, chalky and grainy notes. Flavor is a little bitter but not so bad. Kind of twangy, lemony flavor. Soft mouth feel. Not too bad.

Despite my handle, beers can get too bitter, unbalanced, for me.

Olive waxed 22 oz bottle, bought at Liquor Shed in Casper. It pours a clear pale gold with a 2 finger head of foam, nice lacing and the foam is persistent. The smell is of fresh hops...nice notes of citrus, light grapefruit, lemon zest, that latter bringing some pungent tones. The taste is very oddly bitter. Very bitter. More than just a grapefruit/lemon bitterness, it crept into the aspirin type of bitterness, which I don’t fancy. It’s dank ++. The malt presence is minimal; I get a bit of a bready note from time to time. The alcohol is also big. A tough session is what I have here. It’s on the high end of medium bodied, carbonation is okay, the mouthfeel, though, is harsh, brackish? For personal consumption, this will be my only go at it. It’s too rough.

Howler style from Liquor Shed.

It pours purple with a good 1 finger head of purple tinted foam. The lacing is great!

At first whiff, I get some sweet notes ala Lindemans Raspberry but then a nice fruity tartness settles in, still of the raspberry pursuasion but more complex and delightful.

The taste is of a good fruit beer that resembles a Lambic in some ways. I like the tartness of the fruit, the mild sweetness is easy to cope with. Light yeasty and notes of wheat round it off. Very nice and dry finish.

Fairly light bodied with, I reckon, a little to little carbonation. A bit more fizz would help.

Sipping on this, I’d guesstimate the abv to be between 5 & 6%.

Overall, not a bad attempt at something that I don’t recommend US brewers calling a brew of theirs...Lambic.

22oz bottle (red wax, why?) picked up at the brewery
Pours clear golden/copper with a huge off-white head and good lacing. Aroma of oranges, biscuity and citrus. Flavors of oranges, bready, caramel and bitter citrus
This was OK. I like a IIPA that is not sweet and doesn’t have tons of caramel malts, which this delivers. But I didn’t enjoy the oranges in the taste. I did like it more as it warmed up.
