Can from LCB, consumed 1 week before BBE. Pours a clear bright gold with small white top, ok retention. Aroma and taste of biscuity malt, sweet citrus and pine-spicy hints. It sounds fairly standard but its well brewed; tasty malt and good level of hops. Medium body, average carbonation.

Can from Beer52. Pours a semi-hazy dark gold/light amber with small white head, nice lacing. Aroma is quite malty with biscuit coming through, 3 day used socks, a fresher citrus note. Taste is biscuity, floral, pine, citric light tangy finish. Medium bodied, smooth. This has more of a traditional bottled IPA feel this to this with a nod towards modern craft. Pleasant enough malty IPA.

330ml can from Beer52. Black with a moderate sized tanned foamy head with great retention. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee beans, some sweetness. A lovely smooth creamy texture despite it being just shy of a medium body. Taste has a roasty bitterness with coffee coming through well and enough sweetness to balance. Maybe could do with an extra punch of flavour but its very sessionable. Good.

330ml can from Honest Brew. Fairly clear gold with small white head, lots of retention. Aroma is biscuit malts and citrus, stone fruit notes. A slightly old style IPA aroma. Taste confirms this with biscuit, apricot, grapefruit, zest, good dose of bitterness. Leaves a pine resin tangy bitter aftertaste which I've never been too keen on. Medium body and carbonation. As a beer its quite good but as an IPA its below average for me.

Keg at Boreft’13: Not in the festival pbooklet but this Dark brown coloured brew with an nicely bitter taste and hints of roasted malts and liquorice.
