Cask at the White Horse Old Ale festival 2011, Parsons Green, London. A ruby/brown coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Fruity, hoppy aroma. Tastes fruity, caramel, malty, hoppy. Good stuff from Fyne.

Cask at White Horse Parson’s Green. It pours very dark ruby, with a decent beige head. The nose is wood, varnish and salted caramel. The taste is salted caramel, wood, leather, earth, ash, charcoal, dark fruit and roasted malt, with a long, dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Great flavour for this %.

Cask at the Craft Beer Co., London. Pours dark brown with a huge, light tan head. Sour dark malt nose, with some dough and tart cherries. Nice flavor, medium sweet, with mild roasted malts, tart cherries definitely, some tart and borderline sour dark malts. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation, very smooth. Decent if moderate cherry character in the finish, slightly tart, with some dark sugars. Not bad.

Cask at Euston Tap, London. A golden coloured pour with a medium fluffy white head on top. Hoppy, citrus fruit aroma. Tastes hoppy, citrus fruit, slight bitterness. I rather like this brewery, reasonable effort.

Cask at Craft Beer Co on 23rd November 2011. Black with light brown head and patchy lace. Thick pungent aroma, big on roast malt. Liquid is very malty with plenty of roast malt, coffee and hoppiness. Citric hop lasts to a pleasant bittersweet finish. Full body and pleasant, engaging carbonation texture.

Cask handpull at Craft Beer Co. Black beer big beige head. Its a touch sweaty sox. Nit overly hoppy and what hops there are remind me of old socks. Not great but it did help wake me up

Craft Beer Co. Cask handpull. Too dark cherry too hoppy and its the hop that gives it up here. Love Fyne ales but if you want a sweetish dark cherry and dark choc beer then hops are too much for this beer. Good condition good beer. Sweet dark cherry but too much hops that dont marry with the sweetness.

Cask at The Euston Tap, London. Pours dark brown with a cappuchino head. Fresh grass aroma, with some roasted malts. Light to medium sweet flavor, lots of harsh, grassy bitterness, some dirty, burnt wood, baking cocoa. Light bodied with average carbonation. A touch thin; could use a bit more bulk. Tons of lacing - whatever. Lasting grassy hop finish, some burnt cocoa malts, trees, wood. Plenty of bitterness but lacks that resinous/piney/citrusy kick that I like. Altogether not bad, but could use some tinkering.
