500mL bottle at SP 10th line share, 9/29/23. Dark, undetermined clarity. Low head. Almost a cinnamon nose with a touch of bourbon spice, lots of chocolate, hint of alcohol. Can tell it's only barrel blended but still very respectable. Light licorice on the finish. Soft, chocolatey, cinnamony and with licorice, good attenuation. Some alcohol. Yeah, it's just a barrel blend, but it's solid. Could use a few more months, but nothing to scoff at.

Shared draught, 9/27/23. Bright orange-pineapple. Medium, white head, moderate retention. Quite hazy. Spice, chalk, earth, strong mineral. But no scallion. Huzzah. Lots of sulfur, crackery malts but no resin or excess pine. Clean. Juicy citrus and more well-done mosaic spice with warming. Spicy, sulfur-rich, heavy mineral, assertive but not overdone bitterness. Clean with cracker and light white bread-like malts. Potpourri, citrus zest, light pine. No scallion. Along the lines of Trillium's pale ales but more successful than a lot of those have been lately. Near-perfect texture, bone dry. A touch more malt oomph would put this in the mid-to-high 4's for me.

Pour is a motor oil black with a large tan head. Aroma is all bitter bakers chocolate. Flavor is more bitter bakers chocolate with some semi sweet chocolate. Finish leaves a little fudge on the tongue. Stellar porter.

4 pack drunk fresh to six months old, most recently 9/20/23. Good clarity, soft-hued violet. Small, off-white head quickly to ring. Gentle acidity and big mineral with just a speck of orange peel. Soft, fruity, easygoing Brett and mellow lactic acidity. Light wood and some fruitiness from the culture. Clean. Great texture, soft and with some rustic grain. Good depth and attenuation. Light Brett and lactic notes with minimal citrus and a touch of wood tannin. Really pleasantly-balanced acidity throughout with a great amount of flavor and body for its size. Very refreshing.

Pours black, no real head. Scent is full, cinnamon, roasty. Taste is intense. Full roast, chocolate, cinnamon quite much. Rather hot BA profile.

A very dark brown beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of cocoa, coconut, sweet chocolate malt. Taste of sweet chocolate malt, caramel, vanilla, bourbon, coconut. Very good!

750ml bottle pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is nice rich coffee some dark chocolate and a little ash. Taste is more of the nice chocolate big rich roast coffee notes.

Taster from 0,75l bottle in Sint-Truiden. Black color, small coffee colored head. Smells vanilla, maple, cinnamon, spices, rather intense smell. Full body, light carbonation, oily mouthfeel. Tastes maple, cinnamon, spices, peppery, bit of a chili burn. Finishes lightly sweet with notes of maple, spices and vanilla notes.nice stuff, very adjunct heavy. Intense

On tap at SP Cellar. Pours a very dark brown with small tan head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is cocoa, roast, licorice. Slick body, roasted malt, dark chocolate, licorice, tobacco, dry finish, very nice.

Can. Pours black with medium tan head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong roast, dark chocolate, spice, wood, bourbon. Thick, chewy roast, chocolate, licorice, bourbon, nice sweetness, enjoyed this.
