Draft at the brewery taproom. Poured almost black in colour with a lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is roasty, light coffee. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, with a somewhat rich, roasty, light dry spicy coffee, liquorice bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

330ml bottle from De Paas, Den Haag. Poured almost black in colour with a lasting frothy off-whire head. The aroma is grassy, light caramel. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a fresh, somewhat rich, weedy, grassy, light pepper spice, hop bitter palate and a lingering dry bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Bottle shared, poured in decanter. Lovely clear golden with pink hue. Soft spices, light floral, swert malts, vanilla, oak, dry grapes, spicy unripe fruits. Medium swert and bitter. Almost full bodied with boozy touch and dry finish. Pas mal.

Aroma is tart yeasty notes of hay, fruity brett with musty fruit peel, cellar notes and farmhouse minerals, as well as malts with cereals and honey. Creamy body, with soft to average carbonation. Flavour is yeasty notes of hay, fruity brett with apples, farmhouse notes of grass, candied orange and floral notes, as well as bready malts with toffee and heather. Dry finish.

Huge, fluffy, bit yellowish head, irregular, over very carbonated peach-golden beer, hazy. Fruity nose, stonefruit, yellow fruit, bit liqueurish, crème de pêche, faint DMS. Very short bitterness, then neutral to sweetish fruitflavours. Finish has a bit fruity-hoppy bitter. Light body, slick to oily, very carbonated. OK, but is there anything more to say? Txs to Stef!

Flesje ca. een half jaar geleden gekocht bij HB. Schenkt donkerbruin, maar niet pikzwart, de bruine kraag zakt direct in, maar misschien moet ik dit glas eens een keer grondig schoonmaken... Geur is zoetig, geroosterd, koffie, iets notig. In de mond komt de koffie wat meer naar voren. Smaak is zoetig-bitterig/gebrand, koffie, licht koffiezurig. Body is wat aan de dunne kant.

33cl (Orval) fles bij Haagsche Broeder. Mistig lichtgouden kleur, witte kraag. Heerlijke funky Brett-geur, droog, licht moutig, iets bloemig, hooi, heel licht funky zuurtje, bittere finish. Lichte body, iets waterig, zeer smaakvol. Mooie Groene Orval imitatie.

33cl Fles sample bij Haagsche Broeder. Dubbel/Porter noemen ze het zelf. Donkerbruine kleur, beige kraag.
