On tap at Flying Saucer, pours a deep dark brown / black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out whiskey barrels and toasted caramel. Flavour is very boozy and harsh, with lots of whiskey, alcohol and toasted malt. This isn't a well-crafted barrel aged beer - harsh and boozy. Needs work.

On tap at Tennessee Brew Works, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish tinge and a medium beige head. Aroma brings out lots of toasted nuts, not much else. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted nuts and some earthy bready malt. Very dry; not much depth to the palate. Meh.

On tap at Tennessee Brew Works, pours a hazy pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma is very estery, with lots of honey, sweet esters, and biscuity malt. Flavour is similar, with lots of esters, a touch of fermented out honey and biscuity malt. Pleasant enough, but it's a strange brew that lacks depth or complexity. Okay.

On tap at Tennessee Brew Works, pours a hazy copper golden with a small white head. Aroma is full of diacetyl, nothing else manages to supersede this butter to me. Flavour is likewise a nasty butter bomb, with nothing but diacetyl. Sweet and earthy notes underneath. This is undrinkable.

On tap at Tennessee Brew Works, pours a hazy copper amber with a small beige head. Aroma is almost nonexistent, with biscuity malt and subtle dry hopping. Flavour is English-style, with bready malt and subdued earthy English hops. Nicely crafted, with a more subtle profile, though more aggressive than you get in England, no doubt.
