Description

Very short lived fizzy head on a translucent honey amber liquid, no retention. Aromas are citrus, malt, vinegar, spice and a hint of MJ. Flavors are similar to nose with citrus standing out and a bit of sweet in back. Pretty good.

It's picked up a lot of woody sourness from the barrel. Not really IPA and not really any Rum or Whisky of note. It's a decent Sour though.

330ml. A bit cloudy golden colour, medium-sized white head and lace. Light fruityness, Belgian yeast esters and honey in the not so strong nose. Light to medium-bodied. Crisp, some pepper, pale malts, touch of honey. Quite classic flavour.

Brouwerij De Leite version.
Tight light brown head left a froth on a reddish brown coloured body.
Caramel, toffee & red berry aroma.
Medium bodied, smooth & cloying on the back.
Toffee, red grape, cherry & boiled sweets tastes with a bitter g faint whisky finish.
Nice one.

330 ml bottle from the Lcbo.
Deep red pour, with a small lightly pink head. Aroma is very tart, touches of barnyard, and a deep cherry tartness. The body and carb is good, and balanced. The finish is very tart, with hints of lambic sourness. Loads of great sour fruit, cherries and random berries. The oak ageing isn’t very apparent, does seem to add to the beer, but it doesn’t detract either. A great summer sour ale.

Bottle from the LCBO. Pours a murky beige, with a large off white head. Aroma is funky, tart, acidic. Stone fruit, lemon, earthy wood, light vinous. Mouth feel is lively, with a very active carb. Finish is medium tart, more fruit, semi sweet/earthy barrel rounds it out.

Bottle from the lcbo. Hazy orange pour with a large white head. Aroma is musty wet paper, metallic, sweet, musty cereals, not pleasant at all. Mouth feel is nice, carb is solid. Finish is more musty notes, minerals and metallic. Hints of fruit, wet cereals, very unpleasant.
