Hazy hazy white golden color. Absolutely nothing exciting in the nose with slight fruity. Slightly fruit but super boring taste. Beyond boring even for a Kolsch.

Tap at TBE Brewing. Persimmon, peach and apricot on the nose with some caramel notes. Medium body with an astringent wet dog flavor on the palate. Cardboard and ash. Scratchy mold-like finish. Infection, fection...yuck. --- Beer merged from original tick of Kaigun-san no Bakushu Alt on 15 Jan 2016 at 21:30 - Score: 3. Original review text: Nice nose of toffee, then mold, wet dog, cardboard....ughhh

Light amber color. Grapefruits and a very heady nose. Lots of dry hopping and fairly interesting, but the body is lifeless and the beer falls apart. Good potential that goes no where fast.

On tap at the Bincan Fes 2015. G - IPL Kure is a beer made with Madarina Bavaria & Polaris hops. 5% the aroma is orange & citrus with a bit of a biscuit bite. Light bodied with a zesty carbonation and a dry finish. The taste is orange/citrus hoppiness, sweet biscuity pale malts and a light noble hop bite in the crisp finish. One of the best I had at the fest.

Tap at Komachi. Glowing orange-gold, cloudy with a low, fine head. Rather straightforward weizen nose, banana, clove, rich wheat. Sweet and fruity flavor, banana, peach, sweet orange, wheaty. The finish is somewhat bitter. Decent, doesn’t really stand out as super bitter though. I was hoping for a hopfen weisse. Just a bit of cardboard in the finish.

On tap at Ibaraki Bakuon. Shimanowa Beer 5% made with oranges by Kure Beer down in Hiroshima, it pours a dense cloudy gold with a filmy cotton white head of foam. The aroma is orange and hops - pretty nice. A zesty bright carbonation on a light body compliments the aroma with a crisply bitter hoppiness with orange zest notes. Quite a fun summery beer.

Re:rate at Spring Keyaki 2016. Really nice Pils with good body and bitteness on the finish. Enjoyed a lot. On tap at CBM Koenji. Clear straw color with a nice white soapy head. Aromas of grain and grass. Bitter on the palate with a medium body and lively carbonation. Dry and bitter finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Kaigun-san no Bakushu Pilsner on 15 May 2016 at 13:22 - Score: 7

light amber color. Very malty super sweet, but enjoyable. With notes of apricots and bread. Needs to be less sweet as it is near in drinkable. Though I don’t hate this

Celebrating CBM Jimbocho’s 3rd year anniversary. On tap at CBM Jimbocho. They were also giving out gift bottles to people who came on the anniversary days. Deep brown color with a creamy off-white head. Lemongrass, citrus and malt on the nose with a hint of dark fruit: prune and apricot. Nice mouthfeel and medium body. Very smooth on the palate with a nice bitterness and sour tang present. Hints of yuzu and lemon as well. Nice dry and peppery finish.
