50 cL bottle. Pours golden and dark brown with a white lacing head. Light spiced and mild alcohol aroma. Flavour is sweet and solid malty with a alcohol smoothness. Clear alcohol flavour into the finish and a light warming feel alongside a light spice note.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow to orange with a quickly disappearing white head. Mild malty towards light grainy aroma. Light spiced malty flavour. Medium dry and towards light bitter finish.

500ml flip-top bottle. Brown-amber color. Minimal head dissipates pretty quickly. Smooth, rich, toffee and caramel flavors. Sweet, malty character which is nowhere near as overwhelming as other Doppelbocks. Very deep and mellow, with minimal hop presence. Nice beer.

Leicht säuerlicher und wässrig hefiger Antrunk, malziger Unterton, die leichte Säuerlichkeit schwindet. Im Mittelteil typisch hefig-malzig, insgesamt mild aber nicht spritzig. Leichtsäuerlich im Abgang werdend, wässrig. Test vom 12.3.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,10,8,6,9,8 - 8,05

Bottled. Amber colour, medium beige head. Aroma is wood, hops, earth and some sweetness. Flavour is very similar. Pleasant thing, but quite one-dimensional.

500ml flip-top bottle bought at the airport in Müchen last summer and shared with party guests in Tromsø. Plain malty aroma. Thin tan head over a copper coloured body. Gets a bit too sweet with all its brown sugar and sweet dark caramel. Hints of alcohol(12.01.2008)
