Description
Timmermans has kept the tradition of the true lambic alive for over 300 years now. This unique beer, made with 30% wheat, is brewed in Itterbeek, in the oldest active lambic brewery. At its origin is a miracle: micro-organisms in the air of the Senne valley end up in the wort and cause spontaneous fermentation. This is why a true lambic is brewed only within a 15 km radius of Brussels, in the area known as Pajottenland. Since 1993, Martin’s Finest Beer Selection has been proud to preserve this authentic part of Belgium’s beer heritage.

Bottled. Pale yellow, brief head. Citrusy aroma. Sweet and light bodied. Soft, mellow and fruity. Lemony finish. Refreshing, plain and pleasant.

An orange beer with a small head. The aroma is light fresh with sour notes. The flavor is a really good geueze flavor. With a good sourness but not too much with orange notes and slightly bitter. Only problem is that the flavor doesn't linger that long.

An orange beer with no head. The aroma is that of peach and very sweet. The flavor is dominated by peach and is pretty sweet - it is very hard to tell that it is a lambic there is no hints of the sharpness from the wildfermentation.

Botled. Red-amber with no head. Apple wine aroma. Sweet start, notes of lemon and just a twist of acidity. One-dimensional.

Not a very impressive gueuze. Not as refreshing as some others, bit less sweet sourness. Weak gueuze.

Golden coloured. Lemon aroma. Rather malty, acidic. The finish is somewhat reminding of a non alc. malta. There are more complex gueuzes around.

Light taste, only slightly sour. Similar to a faro, but stronger and not quite as sugary. Fairly straightforward character and like Timmermans Faro this is very refreshing.

Dry, lambic body, with a fruity, pungent, dry finish. Not only the best Timmermans, but also the best cassis.

It's lack of complexity is countered by the fact that it is one of the five most refreshing beers on the planet.
