A deep red beer with an OK light orange head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of berries combined with prunes. The flavor is dusty and somewhat fruity combined with notes of prunes. Nothing specieal, but not bad either.

An orange beer with sediment of yeast floating around and an thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet and very fruity - almost cloying. While the flavor is a bit old, somewhat dusty, combined with notes of fruity - especially peaches. It has best before date in May/June 2006, so it is well matured - and I think over the top - but I can’t get it again, so I rate it.

A hazy amber beer with a lazing orange head. The aroma is slightly acidic malty combined with notes of yeast. The flavor is sweet dusty and malty, but also with notes of fruit juice and yeast.

(Bottle 33 cl) This aged sample - best before end 2004 - is the original version from Vervifontaine. Dark amber with a neat and rather stable, off-white head. Fruity, sweetish nose with some alcohol. Good, full body with a caramelish sweetness. Quite interesting. 160206

A hazy light yellow beer with a thin lazing white head. The aroma is sweet spicy with coriander standing out - the flavor is pretty much like the aroma.

Clear gold beer; good resistent white head, leaving some lace. Perfumed, tad of vanilla, bit grassy and a whiff of coriander. All quite subdued, indeed. Nice sourish, wheatish taste, very fine flavours, even when not heartlifting. Finish has some corn flakes flavour to it. Light body, quite carbonated. Good for a wheatbeer, even if it doesn’t say so on the bottle. Cider????

Bottled at Delirium, Gothenburg. Dark red to copper in colour. Offwhite head. Prunes and other dried fruits in aroma. Much the same in flavor, in addition to malt. Quite fizzy mouthfeel. Fruity, alcoholic aftertaste. (051008)

Bottled at Delirium, Gothenburg. Orange, unclear in color, with white head. Fizzy. Citric nose. Candisugar and dried fruit in flavour, and a sweet aftertaste with alcohol. (Is this the same brewery as Brasserie de lAbbaye du Val-Dieu, which is also situated in Aubel?)(051008)

Brown, small, mostly vanishing head. Aroma of dates, oak, yeast, slightly bitter. Dry, woody, dates also in the flavor. Mouthfeel is kind of flat. Long dry aftertaste. Quite average in all ways.

Hazy orange color, decent white head. Grassy, parfumic, sweetish peach aroma. Medium-bodied. Smokey, grassy, citrusy even chocolaty - quite unique flavor. Interesting but not very pleasant more like unbalanced.
