Rated on June 7th, 2014. Pours black, nice beige foam head. Aroma has a bit of chilli. There is also a note of liquorice and caramel but I wouldn’t say this beer is a lager. Taste is surprisingly spicy and in a relatively good balance. It is spiking the mouth, has some bitter roast and leaves a long-lasting glow, pampering your mouth. Finish is a bit raw. Solid brew, incredible what can be done with a lager type of beer.

Rated on June 7th, 2014. Lighter brown, small head. Aroma is nicely sticky, malt candy. Sort of like a barleywine, a small barleywine. It is supposed to be a dunkel... Taste is not that sweet but still. Hops are more subdued, caramel sweetness lingers. Dry mouthfeel. Does not feel like a dunkel at all. Overall interesting but a little too sweet for my taste.

Dark with a tan head. Aroma is roasted coffee, chocolate, earthy, a bit of bitter dark chocolate. Medium bodied. Flavor has notes of dark chocolate, roasted malt, light coffee, some molasses, and a finish that is slightly bittersweet malty. Truly, a nice porter.

0.65l bottle. From Venus you say huh? Do believe this is my first one from that planet. Anyways, it looks quite nice in the glass this with a near glowing clouded golden orange colored body that has a small eventually fading to small Islands white head. Nice fresh aroma with a fair amount of citrussy hops. It's super hot here today, so this smells superb right about now. It's kinda herbal spicy in a way, I get birch and a fair amount of malt sweetness. Nice. Yeah, it doesn't taste all that bad either. Lots of bitterness, traces of metallic undertones. Also it has this citrus lemony sharpness that kind of cuts through it all. Light only in the mouth and it has a soft to average carbonation level with those small prickling bubbles. Ends off with a little alcohol on the burp, black pepper corn and green coffee beans in the aftertaste. Yeah, I'll have no problems finishing this for myself. 07.06.2014

0.65l bottle. Looks nice this with a deep honey colored cloudy body under a big lacing off-white lacing head. Oh, the nelson is strong in this one! Oh, my! Lots and lots of lovely cat pee and grapes combined with a sharp citrus sting. There's also fresh grass, caramel, those flat sweet intense small peaches, some apricots and some white vine tones. Smells really nice this stuff! Lots of pinewood in the taste. Like sticking your tongue on the tree itself. Thick viscous and oily in the mouth while the carbonation is just below average. There's also a good amount of Mr Nelsons cat's pee in the taste. Love it. Have never really been a huge fan of that but in this it works great. Zesty citrus tailing this one off for a long long while. A really nice one! 05.07.2014

0.65l bottle. This is a cloudy looking deep orange/amber-grey colored one with a nice big lasting and heavy lacing off-white head. It has a really sweet intense aroma loaded with peaches, sweet ripe fruits, red currants, freshly cut lawn and a sweet sticky malty backbone. Yeah, I like what I smell. Lots of flavors also. It has a nice thick oily feeling in the mouth and it's almost creamy on the small bubbles. A nice fruitiness with lots of ripe fruits, but still really balanced cause this one is well hopped! Grassy pine cones with birch juices, peaches and a really pleasant little pepper burn in the aftertaste. Has this perhaps been added some sort of chili? Dunno, but I really enjoyed the beer. 20.04.2014
