Description
Kinn Bryggeri AS was incorporated in April 2009.

Here at Kinn we create craft beers in the English and Belgian traditions based on the purest mountain water from Sagafjella. Ancient craftsmanship - open fermentation and bottle conditioning - are important to us. None of our beers are ever pasteurised or filtered, and every one of them is brewed in our two breweries in Florø. Kinn beers are available off the shelf throughout Norway, and we also export to selected countries.

On draft @ HaandBryggeriet Beer festival 2012. Black body with a nice beige head. Relatively mild, but nice aroma of fruity hops and some dark malt. Flavor is refreshing, soft malty, fruity and pleasant bitter. Nothing extreme in any direction here, except for extremely well balanced. Nice body and hoppy aftertaste. Tasty and quaffable BIPA.

Bottle shared at an Imperial Stout tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks KnutAlbert for this bottle. Black. Strong aroma of chocolate, cocoa, coffee beans and a bit of alcohol. Sweet flavor of chocolate, a bit of coffee beans, light fruitiness and a bit of alcohol. Medium to full-bodied, pretty thick mouthfeel.

On tap at Grünerløkka Brygghus. Black with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt with some smoky notes and dark chockolate, spices, coffee and hops. Medium body and carbonation. Lightly sweet and very malty with a dry, bitter and surprisingly hoppy finish. Roasty aftertaste with dark chocolate and hops. Nice porter, and a bit different. (2012-06-22)

Big pinkish white head. Hazy amber body with strong carbonation. Earthy mealy raspberry aroma with metallic candy notes. Dry-sweet earthy metaly raspberry taste with grassy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish metallic raspberry aftertaste with mealy herbal notes. Interesting. Not really completely successful, but interesting and drinkable. (0.75l bottle, Meny Grønland Torg, Oslo.)

0.75l bottle. This is a peachy-red beer with a massive and lasting heavy lacing fluffy pink-ish head and some small sediments at the bottom of the glass. It smells of raspberries, lemon, sweetness, wheat and wet grass. Smells quite nice indeed. It's soft and really light drinkable this one. Average carbonated with a near watery texture. It tastes of mild watery raspberries and frozen strawberries, wheat and some mild spices here also. Fruity and lasting thin finish and aftertaste. As mentioned, really really light drinkable, refreshing and quite nice! Probably could have deserved a bit more body, but a good one again from Kinn. 22.06.2012

250ml bottle as a perfect dessert following the fish soup at Amundsen Bryggeri & Spiseri. Jet black, bright naked surface. Roasted smell of dark malts providing hints of dark chocolate and liquorice. Dark malts and dark fruits in flavour making it taste like dark marmalade. Rounded, roasted bitterness to the finish with noticeable alcohol. A pleasant dessert (Oslo, 25.05.2012).

Fra håndpumpe på Naboen i Bergen: flott skum som varer, fruktig og tydelig humlearoma. Lite karbonert men allikevel god munnfylde. Smakfull og lettdrikkelig.

Biggish creamy beige head. Opaque black body. Roasty earthy dusty aroma with caramel and roasted rice notes. Wonderfully clear and vivid. Dry-sweet milky roasty roasted rice taste with dusty wooden notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, velvety smooth mouthfeel. Dry roasty honey aftertaste with burnt spicy notes. Long, lingering finish. Lovely! Really outstanding harmony and vividness.(0.15l sample from cask at Haand 2012.)
