Description
Kinn Bryggeri AS was incorporated in April 2009.
Here at Kinn we create craft beers in the English and Belgian traditions based on the purest mountain water from Sagafjella. Ancient craftsmanship - open fermentation and bottle conditioning - are important to us. None of our beers are ever pasteurised or filtered, and every one of them is brewed in our two breweries in Florø. Kinn beers are available off the shelf throughout Norway, and we also export to selected countries.

Bottle at home. Dark straw colour, hazy. Off-white nice head. Aromas of grain and sweetness from belgian yeast. Much of the same in the mouth with a balanced medium bitterness. Slick and some watery mouthfeel. Overall a decent saison, well balanced, but nothing special.

From cask @ Cardinal. Dark brown body with a thin but dense beige head. A nice malty aroma with chocolate, caramel and hint of yeast. Flavor is sweet and malty, some chocolate, nuts and yeast with moderate bitterness. Body is somewhere between medium and thick. Aftertaste is sweet and malty with warming alcohol and a hint of sourness. Nice, but a have a suspicion that this one would be better in bottle condition version.

Sampled at Nærbø Ølfestival. Black body with a big, foamy beige head – perfect. Aroma of dark, roasted malt, some smoke, citric fruity hops, dry fruit and hint of coffee. Flavor is sweet, roasted malt, fruity hops, dry fruit, coffee and warming alcohol. Full body, and a rich aftertaste that lasts forever. Really, really tasty, balanced, smooth and wonderful.

Fra kran på Grünerløkka Brygghus, Oslo 29 Okt 11. Mørkebrunt. OK svakt farget skum som nesten blir helt borte. God fruktig aroma. Smaken er syrlig frukt. En balansert bitterhet kommer sigende. Avslutninga er vel tung & bitter.

Flaske 0,75l - brygg 61. Spandert av MrSoul og delt med flere andre i forbindelse med offisiell åpning av hans ølkjeller. Gylden på farge. Litt uklar. Høyt skum. Søt fruktaroma. Smaken søt & fruktig. Føles “belgisk”. En bra trippel.
