Description
Kinn Bryggeri AS was incorporated in April 2009.
Here at Kinn we create craft beers in the English and Belgian traditions based on the purest mountain water from Sagafjella. Ancient craftsmanship - open fermentation and bottle conditioning - are important to us. None of our beers are ever pasteurised or filtered, and every one of them is brewed in our two breweries in Florø. Kinn beers are available off the shelf throughout Norway, and we also export to selected countries.

Bottle from Førde Ølutsal. Pours a pale amber, with a full, creamy head. Pleasant malty aroma of light caramel/ toffee. Straight forward malty taste, with notes of caramel, and a dry, not very lingering, finish.

Bottle, at Tilt. Looking quite nice in the glass with it’s hazy, dark golden body and cute, white head. Oranges, some wheat and spices in the aroma. Some sweetness in the flavor which have a good dash of canned peaches as well as the oranges, wheat and coriander found in the aroma. Full-bodied and pleasantly carbonated. A little bitterness shows up towards the end, and lasts for a good while. A lovely quenching and refreshing witbier. 110211

750 ml corked and wired bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. Batch #46. ABV is 4.7%. 11.2 degrees P, 15 IBU. Pale yellow colour, slightly hazy, huge white head. Nice and typical witbier aroma of coriander, orange peel and Belgian ale yeast. The flavour is spicy (coriander) with hints of citrus, strong notes of Belgian ale yeast.

Huge offwhite head. Hazy reddish amber body with light carbonation. Earthy mealy peas aroma with herbal notes. Dry-sweetish mealy earthy peas taste with resiny papery notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Light and delicate. Dry-bitter dandelion and vaguely roasty aftertaste with mealy herbal notes. Nice, complex, and drinkable, but perhaps a bit bitter. (0.75l bottle, Meny Grønland, Oslo.)

Muddy blond color; medium sized creamy head. Strange aroma, it seems to reveal a poor quality of the tap water at the brewery, even dusty; then there is a light spicy touch; plastic too. Normal body strength, smooth mouthfeel; spicy malt flavor, the bitterness is a bit on the high side for a Witbier; too much traces of vegetables and plastic. It’s a risky fermentation and it’s not achieved.
