Can courtesy of Kostas Kykao brewery and consumed sat outside Frank at Auto Camp Sani , Brodarica, Croatia, Tuesday 9th September 2025 after a long walk around the maze of alleyways and streets of Ε ibenika earlier and a lovely seafood lunch at Bistro Luce & Brigita. Pours black with a beige coloured head, thick mouthfeel, roasty with coffee and a little nutty edge. This is a big, big beer, a little bit sticky, some dark treacle touches but all told surprisingly drinkable despite it being practically Imperial Stout territory. However despite being a good beer a 450ml can is hard to drink alone π€£.

Fig, coconut notes from Sabro, a little boozy, quite a nice mix! Enjoy fresh!

Citrus, fruity, tropical, quaffable. Very nice place with a wide range of local beers, unfortunately the kid behind us started farting (a lot), which made us leave π

Can courtesy of Kostas, Kykao brewery which arrived about 15mins before we left home on Thursday. Drinking this sat outside Frank at Camping Leutasch Austria, Saturday 16th August 2025. Pours looking every bit like a glass of orange juice, slim white ahead atop. Tart and zappy, a little overipe cape gooseberry, also passion fruit. Not as dry as description hints at but it is a little. This is not totally my cup of tea but I can see the appeal.

Can courtesy of Kostas Kykao Brewery and consumed in the company of Jude and Baz at Camping Leutasch, Austria, Friday 15th August 2025, we had a Thomas Miers Chilli-con-Carne, Spicy Deep Fried Pineapple, Mexican Roasted Courgettes and Mexican Rice. Pours hazy yellow with a large white head. Quite sweet but interesting, I don't mean interesting as a negative, because this is yet another Kykao beer where local ingredients have been sought to flavour a beer. There is a subtle woodiness and resinous flavour here but it's really not as pronounced as I expected, again I'm struck by the sweetness which really kicks back at any bitterness and hoppiness.

Can, shared with Marko and Fin. Pink murky red. Red berries, sweetness. Front heavy sticky sweet. This is supposed to be sour, but it is not. Also not getting the other stuff that's supposed to be there. Not sure what it aimed for.

Can courtesy of Kostas Kykao, cheers Kostas, and consumed in the company of Ursula and Marko Saturday 19th July 2025 at the Mangled Ham tasting. Pours deep red colour, no head to speak of. I actually don't know what two of these ingredients are though I suspect they are responsible for the unusual taste, I've heard of Mahleb and Mastic but my knowledge of the latter is as a sealant In bathrooms π€£. There is a fruitiness, it's lost a little because there's such an unusual flavour from the two strange ingredients. Loz appears to be the biggest fan, I don't dislike it but I think that it is a beer I would need to try again simply because of those two ingredients. Actually thinking again about this beer, yeah it's tart but could be tarter and tangier also really doesn't taste 8%, the abv is very deceiving.

Can, Mangled Fly tasting, huge thanks F&L! Misty full red body, head gone immediately. Vague fruity notes before the huge vegetal-resinous presence that I hope are mahleb and mastic, not that I would know. Sweet taste, sour cherry much more clear, but very, very sweet, with the same vegetal-resinous presence. Almost no sourness. Too much, way too much.

Can courtesy of Kostas Kykao, cheers Kostas, and consumed in the company of Ursula and Marko Saturday 19th July 2025 at the Mangled Ham tasting. Pours old blood colour, there was a head but it isn't there now so cannot be certain of the colour, I'm picking up a little mintiness here, which is strange because the strawberry is definitely there though more in a jammy type way. Soft mouthfeel, nice fruitiness, good.
