Dun zacht en redelijk goed gebalanceerd, bruine suiker, karamel, fijn, edoch wat ingetogen, laten we vooral geen exoten gaan brouwen maar gaan voor jan en alleman.

Aus der Flasche im 2024-05 getrunken. Diese Quardruple fehlt es irgendwie an Körper denn es wirkt irgendwie flach. Der Ausbau im Weinfass bringt ein leichte Frucht in Glas und runde die malzigen und trockenfrucht Aromen ab. Der Alkoholgehalt läßt sich überraschend leicht trinken.

Bottle. Color: Clear reddish brown, beige head. Aroma: Smoke, caramel malt. Taste: Smoke, caramel malt, hints of wood and herbal hints of anise, licorice and cinnamon. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Moderate to over moderate sweet, moderate bitterness. Dry-ish finish. Ok Bock for Dutch standards. I like the smoky twist of it.

Bottle (jug). Color: Clear dark copper, thin beige head. Aroma: Malty, dark fruit, raisins, Whisky and some Bourbon. Taste: Whiskey, subtle Bourbon / vanilla, boozy notes, raisins, dark dried fruit, malty, Hints of red fruit. Hoppy backbone. Hints of almonds. Over medium body, below average carbonation. Over moderate sweet, moderate bitterness going to over moderate at the long lasting boozy and dry-ish finish. Nice complexity, Bourbon is not overwhelming.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish, minimally strachy, malty aroma, fruity and minimally floral hoppy overtones, some yeasty fruitiness as well, hints of honey, mandarine. Taste is sweet-ish, pale and slightly caramel malty, slightly fruity hoppy, minimally diluted hints of honey, some mandarine, orange. Watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Nicely hopped, light and fairly refreshing, not much complexity, not overly Bock-ish - decent.
