Bottle at The Temple Bar, Dublin. Clear amber. Heavy aroma of caramel, maybe too much? Virtually not bitternes, very sweet, with a creamy palate.

Bottle shared at Paul’s thanks to wingman. Reddy brown coloured pour with a thin light tan head. Aroma pine needle, strawberry, brown malts, little earthy. Flavour is composed of charcoal, pine, berry hop, palate is medium light, moderate carbonation. Not much to it. Finish has some nutty earthy berry.

Bottle thanks to the Wingman. It pours dark brown/near black with a small tan head. The nose is roasted malt, varnish, cocoa, pine needles and rocky road. The taste is rich roast, dark fruits, cocoa, dark chocolate, mild acidity, cocoa, pine needles, varnish and rocky road with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Solid cda.

Bottle split at Paulo’s, 20/06/2015 cheers to Wingmanwillis. Dark mahogany brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is charr, pine, bitter trops, brown bread, light spice. Taste comprises pine, light cocoa, tropical fruit, light grapefruit, toffee, dark malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with earthy hop bitterness. Ok CDA.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Dave! Pours rich brown with a frothy tan head. The nose has a bit of torched pine, burnt toast, cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with crunchy toast, dry and bitter chocolate, roast, pithy grapefruit. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nicely balanced finish with more hitter cocoa, dry roast, scorched earth, some rindy citrus. Solid.

Nose of caramel, toffee malts, some dark fruits, dab of spicy hops, heavy fruity caramel, slight sherry notes

Palate - Soft carb, medium to full body, rather sweet, bit sticky, alcohol quite well hidden. Finish as main flavour, rich fruity caramel malts, some earthy hops, fruit cake, slightly dry
Overall - Rich malty old ale, quite heavy, one of the better beers from this brewery. Not bad at all.

Taste of soft mellow roast, dark sweet malts, dark chocolate, citrus hops, good stout flavours in this BlPA with soft citrus zest and a dab of floral hop
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, maybe a tad thin, smooth, quite sweet, soft light bitter roast. Finish has more bitter roast in the linger
