Description
Our brewery started life up in Morpeth, Northumberland, back in 2012. One name change later, we settled on being called Anarchy Brew Co. and started brewing our core beers, packed with flavour that we still make today (Blonde Star and Citra Star). After running out of room at the old site, we decided we needed somewhere bigger. And in October we moved to new digs in Newcastle upon Tyne, where you’ll find us today. The new Anarchy brewery opened its doors in October 2018 in Walkergate, with the added bonus of our new taproom.

Bottled (from AbM!). Hazy deep brown colour, with a mediumsized slightly off-white head. Aroma is mild smoked and toasted wood along with some caramel, mild ripe fruitiness as well as some leathery notes. Flavour is mild smoked and toasted wood along with some toffee and caramel to it. Mellow and quite refreshing. Still not that much a smoke bomb as such...

Bottle [thanks to jmgreenuk] shared with Dutchdrebus, Joes and Ansjelaah @ weekly tasting. Opaque dark brown color, small beige head. Smell and taste malts, somehow a hint of hops or blossom, only the slightest hint of smoke in the flavor (or is that just my mind playing tricks on me?) and nicely bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Quite nice!
