First beer of this brewery to be available at the LCBO, in a 6-pack. Pours a gold colour with a foamy white head, average retention and minimal lace. Big grainy cereal malt nose with a little grassy hop in the background. Pretty much the same for the taste. Nice bread malt with the hops in the finish. Aromas of caramel malt eventually come out. A big step ahead of macro lagers, for a typical lager.

A reddish copper ale with a thick mocha head. In aroma, lightly peaty caramel with light butterscotch notes, and a bit of gin alcohol. In mouth, a light scotch ale with sweet smooth peaty caramel malt over grassy hops, OK.

A hazed dark amber weizen with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet caramel with light fruity notes, fain sulfur, bananas, not bad. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with fruity notes, so-so.

A golden pils with a thin white head. In aroma, a rgrassy malt with faint german hops and mineral notes. In mouth, very nice biscuit malt with grassy and resinous hops, classic.

Growler from the brewpub. Pours a hazy amber colour with a nice off-white head that stays long and gives out great lacing. Beautiful nose of grainy cereals and caramel to balance things. Medium-bodied with a oily mouthfeel. The hop shows up in the taste, creating a little bitterness over the caramel malt with some grass. The grain and fruit come out in the finish. I seem to prefer this ESB to the Mill Street Father John’s one I had a few days ago.

Originally rated July 2012. This is my first brew from this new brewpub in my region. Pours a dark brown colour with a small white cap, but decent lacing. Aromas of roasted malts with notes of chocolate and hop. Average mouthfeel. The taste is pretty much the same as the nose; chocolate, roasted malts and hops. Decent balanced stout between the malt and hop, that is still refreshing.

Summer seasonal, still available for winter (February 2013). Pours a hazy golden colour with a warm cap and decent wavy lacing. Belgian Ale yeast aromas with notes of bananas and wheat. Pretty much the same for the taste. The mouthfeel is slightly creamy. Refreshing, easy-going, summer ale. Glad I could try it !

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. in aroma, a sweet chocolate with butterscotch, butter, cloying. In mouth, a sweet cloying chocolate with light acidity, grassy off notes, not good. Cask at Beau’s Oktoberfest Sept 29 2012.
