A dark reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, a grainy nutty malt with faint grassy hops, boring. In mouth, a grassy nutty malt with light boiled veggies, faint hops, boring. On tap at Big Rig, Oct. 22 2012.

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. in aroma, a sweet chocolate with butterscotch, butter, cloying. In mouth, a sweet cloying chocolate with light acidity, grassy off notes, not good. Cask at Beau’s Oktoberfest Sept 29 2012.

Glass, 6-ounce, on the premise, savoured July 30 2012; eye: orangey, clear, no effervescence, minuscule ring of mocha head, no lacing; nose: resinous hops, soap-gum, slight malt, light astringency, dry finale in soap-gum with presence of hops, medium body, average carbonation, rather bitter, lightly harsh texture; overall: fine but too soapy FRANÇAIS Verre, 6 onces, sur place, savourée le 30 juillet 2012; œil : orangée, limpide, pas d’effervescence, minuscule anneau de mousse moka, pas de dentelle; nez : houblon résineux, très léger malt, léger gomme-savon, très léger caramel; bouche : houblon résineux, gomme-savon, très léger malt, légère astringence, finale sèche en gomme-savon avec présence de houblon, corps moyen, carbonatation moyenne, plutôt amère, texture légèrement rugueuse; en résumé : bien mais un peu trop savonneuse
