Bottled May 2020. Black, tan head. Big malty smell, definitely bourbon and rye. Boozy yet pretty smooth, not very thick but supple. Taste is heavy, a bit leathery, plenty of bourbon, subtle rye and some sweet cognac. Very complex, lovely flavours. Nom.

Roast and light rye. Barrel is well integrated here. Black pour with good head and lacing. Some chocolate, caramel. Booze. Tap sampled at Kush.

375ml bottle. Quasi black colour with small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Caramel malty and Bourbon aroma, notes of dark caramel, treacle, some vanilla, some oak, yeasty spicy overtones with a marmite touch, fruity hints of plum butter. Taste is dry woody, slightly sweet, caramel malty, notes of treacle, caramel, dark caramel, Bourbon, a touch of vanilla, some oak, a tannic touch, fruity hints of plum butter, whiffs of Marsala; minimally warming, alcoholic finish, well hidden alcohol overall. Viscous texture, smooth, soft, silky, minimally cloying palate, fine, soft carbonation. Not overly complex, sweet but still balanced due to the tart-ish, tannic counterpart, relatively drinkable - nice sipper.

Hits the lime-coconut mark, but doesn’t really present much else. Sharp lime tartness couples with coconut and vanilla on the back end, with a lingering sour streak mixing with a mild grassiness on the fade. Eh. It’s a sour.

375 mL bottle, shared. Pours black, with a dense, persistent, brown head. The aroma is vanilla, green chile, rye, and dark chocolate. Syrupy and sticky, and quite hot. Very heavy body, with a thick, syrupy, slick palate. This is a quality and delicious stout.

Pours hazy pale yellow with a two finger fizzy head. It kind of looks like pineapple juice and definitely smells like pineapples along with some tartness. The flavor is of moderately tart pineapple, malt, and a mild bitterness in the finish that doesn’t mesh terribly well with the rest. Vanilla? It’s so subtle I don’t know that I’d pick it out if I hadn’t known from the label that it was there. Still, it’s a decent beer.
Niet zelf gekocht. Een karnemelk radler.

The red grape comes through much stronger in the nose than the beer itself. The taste offers up familiar waves of citric/berry tartness, with a sweet vinous undercurrent and a lingering note of red grape juice in the finish. Gets a tad watery in the fade, lacking much depth beyond the fruit. Not bad, but simple.
