Rather no-frills blueberry sour, with the tart blueberry profile seeming rather indistinguishable from the lacto sourness. Wheat and grain on the back end, which tapers off dramatically after the initial tartness. Mild lingering yeast on the fade. Pours well, coming out of the can a pretty rose-pink with a boisterous white head and lasting lace. Sour yeast nose and a sparkly head are good. Kinda dull overall, though.

Good DIPA, balancing a moderate fruit-forward character with ample sweet malts and a clingy, piney finish. Bottom of the can says this batch uses Denali and Mosaic hops--the Mosaics are readily apparent--which explains the pineapple and berry notes, yet the sweet, toasty caramel from the malts becomes somewhat dominant as the pint warms. Finishes earthy, peppery, and resinous, not brutal but offering up a lengthy batch of IBUs. Lovely appearance, dark gold with a frothy head and tons o’ lacing. Aroma is unexpectedly restrained, grainy with a hint of citric hops and pine. Palate’s nice, keeping the 8% ABV completely hidden. Very easy to drink..

8 3 7 3 16 Draft @ Beer Temple - I think the blackboard said 7.5%? Hazy copper/red color. Off white head. Aroma’s: bourbon, soft sourness, wood/tannines. Retronasal it’s woody, sourish, light bourbon, vanilla. Flavor is light moderate sour with a hint of sweetness, woody. Medium bodied. Long finish.

8 3 8 4 16 Draft at Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Very hazy orange brown with a ring off white head. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, tart overripe fruit, big oak, raisins, tart apricot and dried fruit. Flavour is above moderate sweet and light moderate sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
