Cask at PoW, Aberdeen. It pours clear golden with a thick, foamy white head. The aroma is soft, bready, sponge cake, biscuit, some floral vibes and citrus. The taste is dry, bitter, pithy, zesty, floral, biscuit malt base, grapefruit, peppery spice, straw and grass with a dry, floral finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Fresh and quaffable. Nice condition helps!

[Cask at the Standing Order (JDW), Edinburgh.] A clear golden amber pour with a ring of white head; yeasty aroma with some esters; banana flavour with more esters and some caramel; and a harsh finish with alcohol and yet more harsh esters. Not good.

Cask at The Prince Of Wales, Aberdeen. It pours clear amber with a foamy white head. The aroma is earthy, cereal, toasty grain, brown bread, oily orange, but of toffee and marmalade. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, pithy citrus, oily orange, lemongrass, floral pine, bit of toffee, biscuit and toasted nut with a drying finish. Average body and soft carbonation. A bit more malt component than I want for a single citra copped ale. Ok.

Cask hand pull at The Prince of Wales, Aberdeen it pours clear amber with a tiny bubbly white head. The aroma is fairly muted, pale malty vibes, grainy, oily, cereal and some spice. The taste is dry, bitter, grainy, earthy, grassy, bit of soapy citrus, varnish, soda water and some spice with a drying finish. Light body and low carbonation. A bit insipid. Quite grainy.

On cask at Platform 5. Appearance - cloudy golden orange with a proportionate head. Nose - orange and malt. Maybe an apricot yoghurt tang in there too. Taste - orange cream. Palate - light bodied and tangy yet still creamy through middle and finish. Overall - ok.

Cask at PoW. It pours amber with a small white head. The aroma is dusty, wheat, ripe banana, clove rock, tangy fruits, hay and candy. The taste is dry, bitter, toasty grain, wheat, orange peel, kumquat, ripe banana, clove rock and a decent kick of spice with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit tangy perhaps, but alright.
