Description
Redcastle Brewery officially opened its doors in 2016, brewing our much loved Tower IPA. Since then we have gone on to sample many different, styles of beer and currently have 9 core beers available in our range.

We create traditional British-style ales of exceptional quality and taste. We do everything in house - brewing, casking and bottling in a quality controlled environment.

Our ales are honest, flavoursome and moreish, just like us!

Cask at the Caley Picture House. Pours clear amber with a thin off-white head. Aromas of toffee and red fruit. Taste is sweet, chewy. Sweet finish.

Cask at the Standing Order. Pours clear golden amber with a thin white head. Aromas are lightly stale, woody, pine. Taste is bitter, fruity, and a little stale note. Bitter finish.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at Swindon Beer Festival 26/10/2017. Amber in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. A touch of citrus hop, orange fruits, leafy hops, biscuity malts and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask at the Guildford arms. Pours clear golden, nose is savoury, toffee, little cheesy, taste is sweet, eggy, floral.

On cask at the Guildford Arms. Appearance - golden and hazy with a thin fluffy head. Nose - elusive but definitely not citrus. Burnt biscuit and not much else. Taste - burnt bread and nothing else. Palate - light to medium bodied with a crunchy texture. Dry astringent crunchy finish. Overall - really hard going.

Cask at The Justice Milly, Aberdeen. It pours clear golden - amber with a small white head. The aroma is bready, toasted grain, earth, cereal, floral and a touch of lemon-lime. The taste is dryish, quite light. malt - driven, bready, grassy, wet hay, graininess, earth, porridge, floral notes and a twist of lemon with a shirt, dry finish. Light+body and fine carbonation. A pretty run of the mill golden ale. Not bad per Dr, just fairly forgettable.

Bottle shared on Level 42 for Cloin's 20K Tasting, 13/09/2017. Many thanks to Paul for this one. A mostly clear golden yellow coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is hay and rustic light grains, apple, spicy hop. Flavour is composed of light grains, little buttery, spicy hop, apple, hay. Warming spicy chilli in the back. Palate is grainy, highish carbonation,. Lingering coconut and pineapple in the finish.

Bottle shared in London - cheers! Pours mostly clear gold with a small, creamy white head. The aroma has some simple pale malts, hints of green pepper, straw. Light sweet flavour with quite subtle peppery spice, some white bread, a little lemon rind. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with clean and mild peppery heat, more straw, dry pale malts. Easygoing.

Bottle shared at L42. Colin's 20K. It pours hazy yellow - gold with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, juicy, lilt, tropical vibes, coconut, dull green veg, bready, mango and apricot. The taste is dry, toasty grain, green veg, chilli spice, bready, pepper, coconut, apricot, peach and cracker with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Aroma is better than taste. Chilli isn't too hot thankfully.

Bottle at the Hanging Bat thanks to Scopester, 13/09/17. Almost clear golden orange with a decent off white head. Nose is lemon drizzle, light pissy notes, grains , light spice. Taste comprises mellow spice, citric peel, orange, toasted grains , hint of coconut, green pepper suggestion. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok for the style.
