Can from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours light, bright copper with a foamy white head. Aroma is mildly roasty malt with citrus and some fruit. Med body. Very smooth. Flavor is citrus, mildly roasty malt, and something suggesting guava or even pineapple. I'm not at all clear on this, but it does seem tropical. Pretty dry. Moderately hoppy. A bit more than moderately bitter. Good stuff.

Can from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy gold with a foamy white head. Hop note waft from the pour. Has a smell I know - lychee? gooseberry? white grape? Need a reference smell scratcher! Med body. Not really juicy; rather dry. Definitely white grape with some citrus - definitely not lemon. Could be grapefruit. Nicely hoppy and bitter. I can imagine some pale malt in support. A really good flavored ale.

Can from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent ambery/gold with a nice near-white head. Aroma of citrus and light prunus fruits. Med body. Flavor is mildly roasty malt for support with lots of hops - biting grapefruit/pine with some pale prunus fruits floating along. Fairly dry; definitely bitter! I'm likin' it.

Bomber from Bottle Barn. Pours clear, bright copper with a foamy near-white head. Aroma has a spice/floral element that is strong - I'd almost venture ginger. Med body. Flavor reveals jasmine! And cardamon. Floral and spicy it is. Fairly dry. Florally/spicy more than bitter - but it all adds up to bitter enough. Quite tasty. Quite pleasing. Just excellent for the style.

Waxed 750 from Bottle Barn in Santa Rosa, CA. Pours translucent/hazy ripe plum fruit color (innards, not outards). Aroma is plums (somewhat ripe ones) with a mix of things that seems to include rye spice. Maybe bourbon too. Med body plus a bit. Flavor is not overly ripe plums, with wood that's not too musty, and hints of bourbon and more than a hint of rye spice. It's fairly dry; fairly oaky. Not at all hop bitter, but it is in the moderately bitter range. With time oak astringency gets involved. It's very easy drinking. It would likely be nicer for me if it were a quad, but a plummy tripel is good stuff. Great ale according to my taste.
