From Notes, bottle at Okayama station from the souvenir shop. Typical deep gold pour the taste was syrupy muscat. Not terribly beer like but ok.

420 yen from Mitsukoshi-Isetan in Umeda. 5% Black pour with a beige head served in a snifter. Strong chocolate fudge aroma, checking the label this is made with cacao extract. Med-light body with a somewhat watery mouthfeel. The flavor is a slightly harsh roastiness, bitter/burnt coffee followed by syrupy sweet chocolate fudge. Possibly that harshness is coming from the very effervescent carbonation.

Bottle from Taniguchi. Huge diacetyl nose, with lemon and banana. Estery, but butter is huge. Cloudy golden with a lacy head. Sour lemon and yogurt flavor, with diacetyl accompaniment. The tart, sour edge actually kind of works, though I am sure it was not planned. There is a very long-lasting astringent finish as well. The tangy quality is quite nice, like a Berliner. The nose and the finish are horrible. All kinds of things are wrong with this beer. Still not past drink by, so I think this was an issue at the brewery.

Bottle from Taniguchi. Biscuity nose, malty, light caramel and light esters. Clea hops and maybe the tiniest hint of diacetyl. Perhaps a bit of rice, but not in a bad way. Pale gold, clear, low frothy head. Sweet and grainy, biscuits, subtle, grassy hop. Nice full malt, good body. Rather like a proper helles. Nicely bitter finish. Impressive really. Better than expected.

Bottle at a souvenir shop in Okayama. It pours like a wheat beer, cloudy gold more than a pils. The peach aroma is fairly pronounced and the flavor is nice since I like fruit beers but after awhile the peach got to be a bit much. Maybe it is made using peach syrup? Nope, I just checked the label, fruit juice. So think of it more like a cocktail of peach juice and a pilsner. The peach juice makes it cloudy, fruity and sweet whereas the pilsner gives you the alcohol. Tasty enough.

Draught at Craft Beer Market Toranomon, Tokyo. Clear golden colour with a white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma of bubble gum. Very fruity flavour.
