Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a ruddy dark amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Subtle stringy lace.
The aroma had a nice blend of soft sweet caramel/toffee malts to a citrusy and piney hoppiness.
The flavor blended fairly nice - the sweet to the bitter and pushed in a little bit of nuts and light toast. Aftertaste was semi-sweet with a firm bitterness to slide into the finish nicely.
The feel was roughly medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation about it. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, another nicely done beer by Collective Arts, these guys are doing a good job with pretty much everything I’ve had.

The aroma had some sweet biscuit to bready malt up front with some citrusy hoppiness coming through nicely.
The flavor started with the malts and eventually combined into the hops fairly nice.
Adding a little bit of piney hop bitterness. Nice aftertaste hitting upon the blend of malts to hops to slide into the finish.
The feel was between light and medium bodied with a good carbonation about it. ABV felt as the brewer projected it.
Overall, pretty nice APA that I would have again. Could be a nice grill side beer.

Ticked this as a three a while ago. Out of a can at the beer store tasting today much more impressed. Sounds like I probably have an old batch the last Time. Great aroma citrus and fruity, some lt malt. T-follows with a nice bite

Canned 2/8/17, drunk 4/7/17.
Good clarity (light-to-minimal haze) in this bright, bronze-maize-golden body with a large white head showing moderate to moderately-strong retention.
A bit hesitant to buy this at two months old, but it was slim pickins’ at the store we were at and I have wanted to try these guys. Not disappointed at all upon first whiff which shows a juicy combination of mango, peach, papaya and light to moderate pine. There’s light ester to it and a touch of alcohol/resin but for two months old, this is pretty damned impressive. I think the more delicate character of the Nelson has fallen off quite significantly, leaving too much simcoe for my liking, but mitigated pretty nicely by the citra. Cracker and biscuit malts seem dry but supportive in the background and the beer is clean.
Juicy again in the mouth and, much to my delight, well-malted in spite of its dryness. Some sweet malt goes a long way to both providing a supple texture and also balancing the acidity. Melon, peach, pineapple, mango and papaya are all well-presented/expressed and though there’s some resin and heat on the finish, it’s mostly under-control. I think for two months old, not exactly peak condition for an IPA, this is pretty stellar and i’ll definitely be checking out more of their stuff.

Pours a hazy golden colour with a huge foamy warm cap, great retention and loads of soapy lace. Beautiful fresh hoppy aromas with some citrus notes well-blended by Belgian Ale yeast which adds a little sweetness. The taste is grassy with some citrus peel and hints of tropical fruits. Not super dry, not crazy bitter but kind of refreshing. Very fruity and well-balanced overall. Quite a nice project experience.
